"We hired Durable Coatings to polish and seal our basement floor, and the experience was a nightmare. Quoted at $8,000 and two days, the job dragged on for five weeks, left us $4,000 lighter, and ended with a floor so badly damaged it now has to be covered with LVP. From day one it was obvious this wasn?t their expertise. The crew showed up with a handwritten instruction sheet and couldn?t answer basic questions. Their first attempt left the floor uneven and full of flaws; their second was even worse, with scratches, glazing, and an overall sloppy finish. They eventually brought in a third-party contractor, who explained the real problem: the floor had never been prepped or cleaned properly before sealing, and it had already been over-sanded, making it beyond repair. Despite admitting earlier mistakes, Durable Coatings refused to take responsibility, instead blaming our slab and demanding more money to ?fix? their work.
