"Mr. Hoffman was professional and personable. He listened to my concerns and paid attention to the details. He showed extra care for my floors underneath so they wouldn't be damaged in any way. Great job done!"

"I’m so happy with the job the guys did. I had to have two tree stumps ground out before the work could be done. The tree stump guys broke my fence gate, and turns out they left one stump in the ground which I couldn’t see under the mess they left. Jason and his crew were able to get the stump out, remove an old slate patio, and create a beautiful new extended patio for me. I had jokingly pointed out a pile of slate chips in my backyard that were an eyesore. When they finished up that day, I saw that Jason had pushed down the pile of chips so they are no longer visible from my yard, and they fixed my fence gate! Such nice guys, all of them. Thank you for my beautiful patio!"

"There was a lot of work to be done on this house with the old wood trim. The walls were aluminum siding, but trim and porches (floors, railings and posts) were wooden and in need of much scraping. We were very pleased with the work, and most of it was performed during extremely hot weather. Patrick and Nick responded so positively when we needed to add a little work at times. We were very pleased with their professionalism, conscientiousness, flexibility and price."

"This is the second time we have used Greystone Construction for roof repair. Back in 2018 we had a roof replaced after weather damage. Just recently I was happy to hire them again to replace an old roof needing replaced on another property we own. I would recommend this company to anyone. Their work is professional, fair priced and done in the time frame promised. It’s hard to find honest workers these days and this company is reliable."

"They were excellent. Dug the foundation, set the cinder blocks, poured the concrete. Built it up from there. Put on the 10x12 addition with 3 windows, 8 electrical outlets, Pergo floor, painting and finishing molding. The owner as well as every one of the crew were respectful and dedicated to doing the job 100%. Even the siding matches! They put up new rain gutters and a new roof over the addition as well. They will come back once the ground thaws after winter to do the landscaping which was included in the price.  We will have them back next year to do some remodeling in the house. Absolutely wonderful experience. If you want a quality construction firm, this is it!!! <br />"

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"

"Professional competent crew. I contracted the work at the beginning of September and was advised up front that the job would not be able to be done for 4-6 weeks. Work was due to be done last week in October. The old driveway was removed and the new base layer laid, but due to unforeseen weather the application of the asphalt was delayed a few weeks. Brian made accommodations and got the finished with a few days to spare before Thanksgiving guests were due to arrive. Brian kept in contact as to the status of the job and was pleasant to work with. His workers were courteous and capable; arrived on time, cleaned up well afterward. The driveway looks great!"

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Dolgeville, NY

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
