"David Rackley is a professional. He promptly scheduled a time for an estimate, did a thorough preparation of the estimate, and then sat down with us to review in detail his proposal. The work was performed when he told us it would be and completed very efficiently and effectively. He communicated regularly and advised when unforeseen complications arose (there weren't many but I expected on a 30 year old roof on a 70 year old house there would be some). His pricing was transparent and fair. I would absolutely recommend Rackley Roofing and Supply for roof and gutter work in the Atlanta area."

"Talon and his workers, kicked some bum, bum with my roof. Talon was able to get my insurance company to pay for an entire to roof. He is quite the professional. I know he even forked out a few bucks of his own money to keep me happy. He?s a real good man. Him and his team replaced an entire roof of probably over 2000 sqr ft and replaced the wafer board on over half of it, in under a day and a half. As you may be able to tell, I am very pleased with what Talon and his men did for me, and for a great price. I would recommend him for any roof repairs or replacement. Don?t hesitate to give him a call. He?s a man of principle and integrity. He?ll take care of you."

"I had a few companies come out and they wanted to sell me a new roof. My roof is only two years old. They did not listen to my request for the work I needed.I would hire this man again , he’s honest. I had a boot loose. He fixed it and caulked it that’s all I needed."

"I am a very satisfied customer. I had my roof, gutters, and awnings replaced by PGRS after a hail storm a few years ago. I also recently had the drip edge installed. I had estimates by 4 different companies but ultimately chose PGRS because of Jason Loyd, the sales rep. I was most impressed by Jason because he was very personable and courteous. He was patient and answered all of my questions (of
which I had about a million). Lol. He explained everything very thoroughly. He is a great 1st impression for the company. Good move PGRS. Jason has great People/Soft skills. My interactions with other staff members have been just as positive. I have not had any problems with my roof, gutters, or awnings. If I do, I have the utmost confidence that PGRS will do their best to resolve any
issues. I read a few of the negative comments here and I will say that customers are NOT always right! Companies should be expected to do their best, which PGRS does. Some customers have unrealistic expectations from companies. Positive experiences are had when each party does their best. Customers have responsibilities for their people skills too! If PGRS could leave reviews on their customers, some of us would never have businesses wanting to work with us at all. In conclusion...PGRS is a great company to work with. Communicating with them is easy and professional. I highly recommend them!

"I am very pleased with the quality of the materials and the work that was done. Power is more expensive than your average run of the mill contractor, but the quality that you get out of it is definitely worth the extra you pay and the transferable lifetime warranty is a great value add if you ever decide to sell your house. That being said, I will not be using Power again, nor will I be likely to recommend them to anyone due to their ridiculous high pressure sales practices. For anyone considering using Power, let me go ahead and prepare you for what to expect with your initial inspection/estimate. The salesman we had come over spent literally 5 hours at our house before he left. He was here from 7:00 PM until close to midnight. We literally cooked and ate dinner while he was here talking to us about the entire history of the company and teaching us, step-by-step, how a roof is built. Fortunately, my wife and I are fairly patient people and learning about all of the components that go into a roof was interesting, but 5 hours was a little overkill and we just weren't prepared for it. Maybe if we had known what to expect beforehand, it wouldn't have been so bad. The first quote we were given was outrageously expensive. They wanted close to $45,000 to replace our 3,000 sq ft roof and gutters. I told the guy there was no way we could afford that and then he said that he could offer us a special deal of $33,000 but we had to decide right then and there if we wanted to do it. We couldn't have the night, or even 24-hours, to think about it. I again told him that it was simply too much and then he knocked the price down to $28,000 if we agreed to do a review for them, but again, we had to say "Yes" right then and there. The reason they require a "Yes" immediately, according to them, is because of efficiency. They compared themselves to UPS drivers who used to waste time trying to deliver packages over and over again to the same houses. They said that by us saying "Yes" right away, it saves them the hassle of having to send someone back out to the house to sign papers. I'm sorry, but in this day and age when there are plenty of ways to digitally sign papers, that excuse doesn't fly. This is just high pressure sales 101. That's all it is and I'm someone that does not appreciate being put in those scenarios. It is ridiculous to expect any average person to make a $30,000 financial decision in a matter of minutes. There's no reason why they shouldn't give people 24-48 hours to look over their finances, maybe get a 2nd opinion, etc. Of course, you do have the ability to do that, but you lose the "better" pricing if you do and have to pay the super premium price. Despite the fact that I am happy with the quality of the work, I will not be using them again because of this. Unless, of course, they change their policy. Additionally, the company said that when they were done we wouldn't even know they were there, but I definitely knew because I had to move my patio furniture off of my lawn and back onto the patio, along with my grill and smoker. They damaged an outdoor thermometer, luckily it was just a cheap one, so I'm not too bent out of shape over it. I also had to pick up nails that were left in my yard and pick up pieces of trash and plastic left behind and they damaged some of our lilies in our flower bed that we had just planted this year, which I specifically mentioned to the project manager to make sure they took care not to damage the flowers. It wasn't a complete disaster, but it definitely didn't live up to the promise that was made to me. Which, if I'm paying a premium price, I expect little promises like this to be kept. Again, I think they do fantastic work. They were on time. They finished on time. The quality of their work is great and I think there is good value despite the premium price tag, but the high pressure sales technique that we had to endure really just left a sour taste in my mouth. Hopefully the value of the warranty will really make itself known if/when we either sell the house or need to use it and then maybe that will wash the sour taste out."

"I interviewed three roofing companies recommended by Home Advisor. While Hixon's was not the lowest bid, they were by far the most professional and left me with minimal questions about what they were providing, warranties, cleanup, etc. We were very pleased with the installation and especially the post installation cleanup of our yard. We highly recommend them!!!"

"Worked with Russell Jones and his crew. The replaced all screws in my metal roof. They were on time and worked very hard, in spite of high temperature and hot metal roof. They explained what was being done and when they anticipated finishing. I would highly recommend Russell and his team."

FAQs for metal roofing installation and replacement projects in Douglasville, GA

Copper roofs can last 100 years or more, so you’re likely never to need another replacement. Regular maintenance, including annual inspections and occasional cleaning, keeps them in top shape. Work with a licensed roofer for any repairs or inspections to be sure the roof stays watertight and performs as expected.

Cleaning a copper roof averages $460, sealing costs an average of $3 per square foot, and broader repairs cost an average of $6,500.While those figures may seem steep compared to simple maintenance, they’re still far less than the cost of a complete replacement. Staying on top of annual cleanings and quick fixes helps keep costs down and allows the roof to reach its 100-year lifespan.

That green hue is a natural patina that forms as copper reacts with air and moisture. In coastal areas, it can appear in five to seven years; in dry regions, it may take up to 14. The patina shields the copper, so letting it develop is perfectly fine. If you prefer the shiny look, you can have a pro apply a clear sealant and recoat it as needed.

You can paint a copper roof, but it will block the natural patina and may shorten the roof’s lifespan. Once paint goes on, future upkeep becomes more involved—you’ll need to scrape and repaint every few years. Most homeowners skip painting and opt for cleaning or a clear sealant to keep the copper looking its best.

Copper holds up well in nearly every climate. In a humid region, it naturally resists fungus, moss, and algae. In snowy or windy areas, it sheds precipitation and stays firmly in place, as long as it’s installed with room to expand and contract. That flexibility helps the roof stay leak-free through temperature swings and harsh weather year after year.
