"My husband and I have been using Able Plumbing for seven years. Rob is a skilled master plumber and trustworthy. During the years, we have appreciated Rob's honesty when we have asked him if something needs to be replaced, and he has responded no, or not yet. His plumbers are professional and trustworthy as well. It is clear Rob has high standards for his company and his employees. Rob appreciates his loyal customers and will alter his busy schedule to accommodate them when possible, for example, when we recently had a clogged toilet. We highly recommend Able Plumbing."

"Atilio (owner) did work previously for our landlords at our rental home (installed gas range, installed kitchen sink). He came for an estimate within a day of the phone call, and provided an estimate via email within a couple of days. He came out on Saturday to cut drywall and prepare for the installation. He returned on Tuesday to complete the work - running the gas line from the basement (where the line enters the house for the furnace and water heater) to the kitchen and also to connect the lines for the fireplace. He also painted our exterior gas lines to make them look nicer (and less rusty). He returned again on Saturday once the stove had been delivered for the installation. Later on Saturday we called him again from a fireplace shop to get information about the line he had run (how many BTUs before we purchased a new burner mechanism) and he was very helpful, giving us advice to help save money on our gas bill. <br /> Atilio is a pleasure to work with and is very professional. He is very knowledgeable and we have been very satisfied with his work. <br />"

"I’ve described in another review how I waited for four or five weeks to get scheduled to have this job done with another company. I finally had to find someone else. Paul C. Hayden Jr. and Sons had high ratings an Angie’s List and were very nice to talk to on the phone. I was told that Stephen (one of the Sons) would call me later to talk about the details. He called later that day. I described the problem and he said he would schedule the work for early the following week. Paul called in a day or two and said they’d be here on Monday morning. I asked Paul if just my description of the situation was good enough for him to send his cavalry without their own assessment of the problem. He assured me that the 30+ years they’ve been in business was enough to evaluate my report. He was right. Stephen and Chris, his assistant, came out Monday with a backhoe and a couple lengths of replacement pipe and did the job in a couple hours. The drawing we had said the pipe was fifteen feet, but it turned out to be twenty-seven feet long. Stephen was an artist with the backhoe, digging all around the pipe without even scratching it. He really didn't need to be so delicate. Toward the end nearest the distribution box, he had already determined that the pipe was crushed along five or six feet of its length. He figured it must have happened back when it was first installed. That’s the only time any equipment heavy enough to crush it would have driven over it. (I figure it was the same people who installed the holding tank that collects the water before sending it uphill to the distribution box— it leaks water from the ground into the tank. When ever it has rained, we can hear ground water drip, drip, dripping into the tank, to be sent to the leach field. What a waste.) The crushed pipe has only about an inch passage on either side, and one of those was nearly completely filled with a single root. Roots entered easily through the break. A few years earlier the box had been cleaned out—it had been choked with roots. We didn't know then about the break in the line; one of the roots was so strong that it had lifted the concrete lid of the box (buried under eighteen inches of dirt) off the box to let other roots in. That fix lasted a year or so. Cleaning the box this time hadn’t worked because, I think, the roots in the line had grown so thick. So Stephen and Chris replaced the pipe, gluing it properly to keep roots from attacking the joints and putting concrete around the pipe’s exit from the box. They filled in the holes and spread grass seed and straw. They were great to work with and I am glad to finally have the problem solved."

"Walked into basement barefoot to find carpet wet and soggy...removed wall boards and found a crack in large pipe connected to upstairs bathroom. not sure how long it had been leaking, but looked like it was awhile. On closer inspection found another crack where pipe enters basement floor. OMG--what to do...we have a plumber we love, but he is a one-man operation, and this looked like too large a job for him. Called neighbors and found one had just had that same drain pipe replaced (along with some other work and it cost $4400. ( Asked where she found the plumber she used, and she said Angies List)!! <br /> Our son works in construction and suggested we call one he knows, Donnie at CROSS COUNTY PLUMBING. Copied 2 plumbers from “THE LIST”..planned on 3 estimates. <br /> But Donnie was the first to arrive and we were so impressed with him (and were in a hurry) we never got any other estimates. We knew as soon as we met him, he was the man for the job. Told us truthfully he could not give a firm price until he got into it, may have to tear up the concrete floor- job could be as much as $2500. <br /> The next morning his crew arrived, found it was not as bad as it looked. Went right to work and replaced the large pipe in a little over an hour, loaded up the (unused) jackhammer and concrete and were on their way. All three men we met were outstanding. Responded to our needs in a friendly and sincere manner. They could have charged us anything, done work that was not necessary, and we would not have known. It is a wonderful feeling to think there are still honest people in this world. <br /> We have just found our new plumber! <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I was primarily concerned with quality instead of price. Less expensive plumbing supply stores are out there, but they sell a lot of builder's-grade materials--Home Depot, for example. We had used cheaper materials for a previous renovation of the same bathroom, and suffered for it--the porcelain-on-steel tub buckled and rusted, the toilet couldn't handle a "big job," the chrome was peeling off the faucets. <br /> So I chose Plumbing Parts Plus on the recommendation of a friend who volunteers for Habitat for Humanity. <br /> PPP has a wide range of faucets, sinks, vanities, commodes, lights, etc., all well displayed in a small-ish but lovely showroom. We looked at everything! We asked tons of questions. Someone was always able to help us. We wanted a special tub drain to catch hair (we have two long-haired women in the house and had to snake every couple of weeks), so the person (Carl?) gave us advice on what sort of drain kit we would need to prevent these clogs. We wanted a shower control that would allow us to have, say, hot water spray without the water pressure being turned up all the way. We did find this control at PPP, for which I am very grateful, since I never liked the single-knob shower things that have cold water at a dribble and hot water strong enough to knock over an elephant. <br /> The store gave us an estimate which was good for a certain length of time (I forget how long). They gave our contractor (Hassle Free Home Improvement, which I highly recommend) a discount, so we saved a little money there. <br /> I was very, very happy working with PPP and recommend them. <br />"

"It was pretty much the total vet costs of the year since there are annual exam, labs, shots and prescription. The staff are extremely friendly and very good with our dog, they vets are super knowledgeable and it seems like they take some extra time to really try to get to know the dog and understand kind of what our concerns are. Things that we maybe stress out over that might not be that important, but they still listen and take their time to explain any concerns that we have or anything that we should be looking for based on the time of the year and other things that they have seen other dogs coming in with. They have 24 hour staff so you can bring your dog anytime."
