"Very professionals, excellent communication, on-time and job well done. Crew on site was professional, courteous, and skilled. We got different quotes and they were one of the best. <br /> First, we contacted another company and to be honest, I think they have so much work that the quote was three times the quote received form Natural Stone Design. Second quote was kind of similar to Natural Stone Design, but we would have to buy the slabs, and then the company charge for sqft of installation. So, if you have to buy three slabs (approx. 40 sqft each) at a price of $25/sqft, and you will use approx.85 sqft of the material, that's equal you need 70% of the material, and you are wasting $875 just in materials you will throw away. <br /> <br /> This company gives you the price per square feet of the counter tops (materials and labor included), so you don't have to buy materials you will waste anyways. <br /> Natural Stone Design also offered the removal and disposition of the counter top material, but I did the removal myself since I know someone that can dispose off the material with easy. The quote for the removal was fair-good. If you don't have the space for storage for the existing material and the way to delivered to a disposal center, I recommend you choose the removal and disposition. <br /> The final product is outstanding (see the pictures). Just one seam and almost unnoticeable in the whole kitchen counter tops. At the end, they cleaned-up everything and wrapped the quartz with plastic to protect the surfaces from other remaining work around the kitchen (back splash and paint). <br /> We are very happy with our contractor Natural Stone Design and will use them again for future projects in the house. <br />"

Small jobs welcome

"They replaced all my old carpet with vinyl plank flooring and put in a new tile backsplash in my kitchen. The results look great and Gustavo was very responsive to any concerns I had. Of the 3 contractors I consulted for my project, he was the only one who I felt gave an honest, accurate, and fair estimate. I?d recommend GG Remodeling as a trustworthy source who?ll get the work done well and relatively quickly."

FAQs for stone slab countertops installation (granite, marble, quartz, etc) projects in Dripping Springs, TX

Soapstone countertops are durable, environmentally friendly, easy to maintain, non-porous, heat-resistant, and naturally antibacterial. They resist stains and cracks, making them a practical and long-lasting choice. However, soapstone has limited color options and can have visible seams in larger installations. It may also scratch or chip if not handled carefully and tends to have a higher initial cost than other materials. Overall, if you're looking for a functional and aesthetically pleasing countertop, soapstone is a solid choice despite these minor drawbacks.

Soapstone countertops typically come in light to dark gray, often with blue or green undertones. One of the unique features of soapstone is that it deepens in color over time, developing a rich patina that adds to its charm. Each slab is unique, with natural streaks and veining that become more pronounced as the countertop ages, giving your kitchen or bathroom a dynamic and evolving look.

With proper care, soapstone countertops can last 50 years or more. Regular cleaning with mild detergents and occasional applications of mineral oil to enhance the natural patina will keep your countertops looking beautiful. Thanks to its durable nature, soapstone stands up well for daily use, making it a wise long-term investment for your home.

Sealing isn't necessary for soapstone countertops. Soapstone is naturally non-porous and antibacterial, resists stains, and doesn't harbor bacteria. While you don't need to seal it, applying mineral oil occasionally can enhance its natural beauty and help develop a rich patina over time. This simple maintenance keeps your countertop looking its best for years to come.
