"Within a day or two of our inquiry, owner/manager Kyle Hodges was here to evaluate our problem and give an estimate for the work he discussed with us. Although we live in a townhouse, the record-breaking Maryland rainfall and the slant of the front lawn toward our foundation had caused serious water build up at our foundation and threat to overflow into the basement.. For several weeks we had been bailing rainwater round the clock from the trench that had formed at the front of our home and using dozens of paper towel rolls to absorb water. Kyle saw the seriousness of the problem, brought his co-worker Matt who would do the work to help plan their project and scheduled a date. Matt was excellent and very thorough. Pouring concrete for a pathway or driveway can wreak havoc in your yard, but these guys were so meticulous and careful to only drive on my lawn and put dirt on my lawn. (I have a semi-detached home). They cleaned up everything nicely and even reseeded my grass where the track marks from the truck were. I have already contracted with GPRO for some additional landscaping. "Cand S Lawncare comes to my house on a weekly basis to mow our lawn. They are always on time and if it happens to be raining on my usual lawn day, the come out the very next clear day. Dealing with the owner, Chris is a pleasant experience and he is always available to answer questions, help with any issues that may arise, etc. The only reason I gave them a and quot;Band quot; for quality is because we've had to tell them on several occasions to mow along where our property line actually is and not where they think it might be and because I often see some missed areas of trimming under the large pine trees along our fence. Other than those couple things, everything has always been great and I recommend them to anyone looking for a good company that does a good job at a very fair price.

"I received estimates from 5 contractors, some for timber replacement, some for block. A natural look was important to me, and I seriously considered timber, but timber today won't last 30 years (due to restrictions on using arsenic). The Solid Brick Contracting initial bid was pretty much the same price as timber, and acceptable in anyone's book, but when I told Oscar I was leaning toward timber because of the more natural look, he showed me the stacked stone EP Henry product. I have 2 other stacked stone and mortared stacked stone walls, and looking at photos, I thought the EP Henry product might actually look pretty good, even against those, and it does. There were some rain delays, but workmanship, design, professionalism, were all excellent. No cost over-run, and they had the proper equipment for the job. What exceeded expectations was the beautiful long sweep of a gently curved wall. Can't do that with timber. It was a substantial project, but I am really happy with the result."
