"Beantown replaced siding on 3 out of 4 sides of my house with Hardie fiber cement plank boards; they tore down an old deck and built a new one in its place; and they removed and replaced a sliding patio door. Very professional company that uses high quality materials and left me feeling confident that they would do the job better than many alternatives. Jim, the owner, was there to answer my many questions from the quote phase all the way through to completion and even afterward. His responsiveness is exceptional and appreciated. The crew was punctual and incredibly fast - I couldn't believe they took down my old siding and installed new siding in 3 days. Amazing. My house and new deck look awesome. I appreciate the whole company's professionalism, helpfulness, and friendliness. They registered my products and sent my warranties promptly, and they also gave me some good tips and pointers that made me feel more knowledgeable about my home and new deck/siding. Price-wise, I would say they are higher than average, but it's more important to me that the work on my home is done right, not done cheaply, and that the contractor is honest, which is why I went with Beantown for this project. I wasn't disappointed and would hire them again, but I did have to forego some additional deck work that I had hoped to have done because it was starting to go beyond my budget. Jim was open that the cost of decking at the time of our project was more expensive than usual, so I appreciate his candor. In terms of honesty and professionalism, Beantown is the best contractor I've ever worked with. If I were to offer any suggestions for improvement, it would be that some of the detail work on the siding (i.e. a noticeably rough cut on a siding plank in one spot above a small roof) and post-siding cleanup could have been more thorough. I'm still finding nails around my house, and that's to be expected, but there were also nails and debris left on my roofs. Not a huge deal, but for the cost, I would have appreciated more attention to those kind of details, especially when it's hard for me to clean up on my own. I also did not realize that the siding work was going to cause as much intense vibration as it did, and I did have a potted plant fall off of a shelf and shatter, so it would have been nice to have that head's up. Now I know for next time. Overall, Beantown is a trustworthy, punctual, professional contractor that does high quality work. I would hire them again for future projects."

"Gary came out and told me exactly how they'd replace my deck. He spared me the sales pitch that other contractors gave me, which I really appreciated. The materials actually arrived sooner than expected, and they started work early (when has that ever happened?). The crew demolished my old 8'x18' deck and replaced it with a new, code-compliant deck in 4 business days. They did excellent work and kept me up to date on progress the whole time. They took the care to blend in the new deck with my existing vinyl siding. The whole thing looks great and is solid. I'm extremely happy with the quality of work. He repaired rot. He waterproofed and weatherproof the entire home, then re-shingles using high-quality materials to ensure my home would be waterproof endurable. "We hired Ronaldo from Serpa Home Improvement to reside our house with James Hardie lap siding and replace a custom French doors to our deck. It was the biggest project we have ever done and we are so glad we went with Ronaldo. His guys came everyday and worked long hours to get my project completed in about 3.5 weeks. My reason to hire Ronaldo is because heâ s listed on the Hardie website as a certified installer. When I observed his guys working, they did everything to James hardieâ s specs such as installing flashing in every butt joint, sealing every cut with paint, leaving proper gap from chimney/roof line, nailing the siding to studs, caulking the right places, etc. My wife is designer and wanted the trim for the windows, doors and dormers to be done a certain way. She showed Ronaldo her mock-ups and his guys were very meticulous and able to build them exactly to her drawings! If you are considering installing hardie or have anything done to your house, I highly recommend Serpa Home Improvement!"

"We have lived in our home for ~ 2.5 years. As a result of inferior workmanship and materials used by the original contractor (someone other than United) , we contracted with United to redo our siding, our exterior trim, and our entry doors. Nik was our estimator and he was a pleasure to work with. We've dealt with estimators in the past and most of them prefer to quote a price without going into detail. Nik, without any prompting from us, went into detail to define what we would be getting for the quoted price. Weuler was our project manager; he was very courteous. He would communicate in advance what the crew would plan to work on for the day or week. He would also let us know if weather prevented the crew from working. Junior was our foreman and it is obvious that he has much experience, and his team has much experience. They would arrive promptly at 7AM each day and begin to set up equipment and position materials to be deployed. They were very well organized; it appeared to us that everyone knew exactly what their role was each day they came onsite. They were also super respectful and cleaned up thoroughly after each day of work. United installed Everlast composite siding and PVC trim on our 3,000+ square foot home. If you have a chance to visit United's building in Ashland, you will understand why they are so good at what they do...there is an indoor training facility where they teach how to properly install siding! We are loving our newly resided home, and would use United again in a heartbeat. You will find they are not going to be the cheapest quote, but I believe we got what we paid for and there were no ugly surprises. We've dealt with contractors in the past who quoted low and then tried to cut corners to make up for it during the project; United is the opposite of those guys. You will not be disappointed with their finished product or surprised in an unpleasant way!"
