"My home was built in 1930 and the driveway was spalling and crumbling it's entire length, and poor drainage left pools of water.  I couldn't be happier with the work provided by Chris Storey and his crew.  They demo'd old driveway on Monday, set forms on Tuesday, poured concrete on Wednesday, removed forms and cleaned-up on Friday.  No rain to slow down progress!  From my first email, quote, scheduling, and texts during the job, Chris responded timely and thoroughly, answered my questions, and accommodated additional request for minor repair, i.e., my front steps had a chunk of concrete broken out. His crew was able to repair the chunk and replastered the entire step so the color would be consistent.  They pressure-washed the other steps to further improve color consistency.  They were able to accurately grade the driveway to improve drainage. During clean-up the crew did a good job of pressure washing the splotches of cement off the side of the house, downspouts, fence, and side of deck, replaced dirt and sod on my and my neighbor's property, and washed down the street in front of my house.  During demolition, the bobcat did a bit of damage to the garage door frame. The last thing done, Chris got a piece of trim and replaced the damaged piece on the door. Excellent work, experienced and professional. <br />"

"Eugene's Wigginton's and his crew arrived on time exactly, if not a few minutes early. They went to work right away and worked the entire time. Nobody slacked off for even a second, and it was a HOT day. They obviously knew exactly what they were doing and they poured the perfect 41x12 slab. Eugene and all of his crew members were friendly, easy to talk to, and dedicated to getting my slab poured quickly and perfectly. A few weeks later, as if we weren't already happy enough with the look and quality of the slab, the screen room installers told us that "whoever poured your concrete did an almost perfectly square pour. This is the most level concrete we have ever worked with." Eugene will provide you with a signed work order and a warranty on all his work. That's something we specifically wanted before starting the work. We could not be happier with Eugene and we definitely recommend him to anyone that is in need of concrete. Thanks Eugene."

"I can't recommend  John enough.  He is a really nice person and knows his trade.  He was very honest with me and told me that I didn't need to do anything at this time.  Honesty is something that is not seen very often in this day and age.  When the time comes to do something with my yard, John will be the first person I call! <br />"

"I purchased an Angies List deal for 45.00 for a one time mowing/edging/blowing.  They did a good job. Chris Cordan called me immediately and was able to do the job the following day.  He called back to follow up and to let me know that they did finish the job and gave me feedback and recommendation regarding the lawn. I can't rate this company based on design or how great they did the mowing since it was a basic job. But I will use them again for a regular service. I highly recommend this company based on responsiveness, price and professionalism."

"<p>During some other work in our backyard last summer, we planned a spot for a future pool house and had electricity run specifically for it.  Then we began looking for someone to build it for us the following spring.  We had several bids but never felt like we had a good fit until we talked to Justin. He listened to our ideas and seemed to understand our vision for the project.   We were already sure about what we wanted in the structure so Justin suggested materials based on our budget.   They poured the concrete pad and constructed an open 20x25 foot shingled patio.  An approximately 7x8 foot area was enclosed for storage and a bathroom.  Water supply to and from the pool house was dug.  Sheetrock work was done in closets and bathroom.  Electricity was run throughout for lighting and ceiling fan.  Justin gave us a lighting and fixture budget that was quite workable. Every group that was in our backyard (concrete, plumber, electrician, carpenter) was professional, respectful, and was helpful if we had questions.  The only problem we had with the entire project was the time it took to complete - about 2 1/2 months.  However, the end result was just what we wanted.  We are quite happy with the quality of the work. </p> <br />"

"We met some of the people from this company, and they were very kind. We were really treated with a lot of respect. They really worked very hard every day to get our home rebuilt. They knew we wanted to get back in. They really seemed to care about what they were doing. We were easily kept up to date on the progress. We only had to pay our $500 deductible for the job and our insurance paid the rest."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Eads, TN

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
