"When American Jewel installed the door I gave them A grades as I thought they did an excellent job.  But after using the door for a few weeks I noticed the dead bolt didn't close completely, but only about 2/3, and also noticed the screen door was no longer aligned properly, so although it closed and looked right, the door was slightly off and it would no longer lock.  I called American Jewel and they scheduled the installer to return and make the minor corrections.  The installer did not show up.  When I called American Jewel again, they did not return my calls. I complained to Angie's List, and via their complaint resolution process American Jewel contacted me.  They were very apologetic and attributed it to a mix up, accepted responsibility and sent the installer to my home to make the minor corrections.  I would use American Jewel again, despite this hiccup, as my wife and I like the door they installed, feel we received excellent value, and ultimately American Jewel followed through on the minor problems I described and corrected them all."

"I originally had one time for the technician to come out, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to call and ask if they could move the time about an hours later. They had no problem with accommodating me. I even received a call from the technician letting me know when he would actually arrive. Sam was an excellent technician, professional and an expert. He explained to me what he was going to do and in about an hour, my garage door was working like new again. I would definitely recommend this company...and I like the warranty on the product. I would have uploaded a before and after picture, but Sam was so efficient and fast in getting the broken spring off, didn't have time to take one. LOL!"
