Then when they started on the chimney they found they would need to remove some of the roof to access everything which would be some additional cost. I agreed to this and they started the work but then there were delays and communication issues for over 2 months. They ended up not completing the job and leaving me high and dry to complete it myself."

They did a professional job on the unit installation and a great job of cleaning up. The installation took about 7 hours and they then explained how it worked, the warranty, and what maintenance would be needed. "My first experience on Angie's List was to find a contractor to repair a leaking roof.  When I purchase my home the roof had been replaced within 2 years of purchasing.  Yet within a year water was leaking into my living room.  When other contractors came out they'd stand in the driveway and look up at the roof, then tell me all I needed were new gutters, which didn't help. All in one actually got up on the roof to investigate determining where my roof was leaking and fix it. With their estimate they provided proof on insurance and state contractor certification.  Before the roof work commenced,  rain was forecast All In One, covered the roof with tarps.  Once the work was completed they cleaned up the yard and driveway of all the old tiles, nails, and other debris.  Shortly after they completed there work, it rained again.  I held my breath but no water came dripping down from the ceiling.  In addition to the roof, since they were going to be up on the roof, I had them replace an old skylight.  No, the skylight wasn't the cause of the leak, I just took advantage of the opportunity to replace it.

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
