This was not explained to me, I presumed they came factory-painted. Better communication with the client is needed."

The repairs did go over the original estimate but was because there were additional issues found after they started tearing off the bad areas and the whole area ended up needing to be replaced. He made sure to contact me and advise how much it would cost for the extra repairs, also provided couple pictures to show which areas were bad and had been repaired.
