"We had a POSITIVE experience working with Roger of Byam Construction on two occasions. I first met Roger when a few rows of roofing shingles blew off last winter. I was amazed that he made the effort to come to our house that same evening to patch the shingles before rain the following day ! Because of this positive experience, a few months ago, I had him back to look at a serious issue that needed immediate attention. . Our home is near the ocean which lead to 31 years of severe degrading of cedar shingles , Anderson windows and wood trim. During driving rain storms water started leaking into our home. We met with other contractors also but Roger made more of a effort to meet with us on multiple occasions to review in detail what needed to be done to get the house weather tight once again. His recommendation to remove all of the shingles , trim and Anderson windows proved to be spot on as his fine crew of Brandon and Martin found water damage and rot behind the shingles and water damage inside of the 31 year old Anderson windows and Transoms. After removing all of the shingles, windows and trim his workers wrapped the entire house in ice /water type barrier before installing new Anderson windows, grade A shingles and Azek trim on the entire elevation. We couldn't be more pleased with workers attention to detail, quality of the products used , cleanliness and time frame it took to complete the job. "We had the aging cement board siding on our house painted with dark grey. We had a very large area to paint. Single thick coat looks real good. Workers first washed house down. After drying, all trim abutting cement board was sealed. Then several workers banged out house painting in 1 1/2 days. I was amazed at how quick they worked with diligence. a few days later a couple workers returned to paint the front door (no extra cost). They also recoated paint on the the columns and painted trim boards around the front porch without us asking. Work was very professional and thorough. The price was very reasonable and the payment schedule was broken down in manner agreeable for both us and PLJ. "Dean was very easy to work with, understood the work that was needed to be done, didn't try to up sell, came in with a very reasonable quote. We had 5 sliding glass doors installed which had a long lead time on getting made but he stayed in contact during that time.
