"Our microwave stopped heating and we called Service Engineering to repair. They came out promptly, ordered the part and returned upon receipt and fixed it. The LG repairman would not come make repairs unless we pulled the wall oven/microwave combo from wall so he could work on it. We thought that was absurd given the fact that the combined unit weighs too much for us to maneuver. "Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
