The whole setup was kind of pricey, but after doing exhaustive research I got a comfortable feeling that this hardware (both the softener and the indoor RO unit) is the absolute industry best. The installers were very conscientious and thorough. When they arrived, they found that they would have to install the unit on the total opposite side of the house. Fortunately, the Kinetico softener doesn’t need power so it was not an issue that there was no power out where they needed to install it. When installing the RO unit, they even pointed out that my dishwasher was not hooked up right (not connected to hot) and he fixed it without additional charge.
