"I can not speak highly enough of Alex, Dimitry, and David. They are artists who do an amazing job and charge a very fair price. We have a 1754 house, so nothing is simple. We asked them to refinish the flooring that we had in the great room. I have just completed renovating and wanted to have the 1950's floors refinished. Maybe someday we will put period flooring in, but for now, we just wanted the floor that we have to match the renovation. They blew us away with their quality and attention to detail. Alex was very patient with us and explained the whole process. In three days, our floor went from beat-up to beautiful. We were so impressed with their work, that we had them restore the historical plank floors that we have upstairs in our hallway and in one bedroom. They far exceeded what they did downstairs. I told Alex, my only regret is that we could not take the upstairs floors and bring them downstairs. We will be hiring them for all of our future flooring work."

I got a estimate from TLC Flooring, I talked to Mr.Marteen Hanania who gave the estimate we talked about the job,what needed to be done and how long it would take. "Jess and the electrician with whom she partners were amazing! They repaired some serious electrical issues in my antique (1790's) home. I went from having the whole house breaker flip whenever I ran the AC, or washed clothes, or ran the bath, or my Mac Pro computer, to everything running perfectly. They, and others, thought I'd need a power upgrade, and we were bracing ourselves to have this done. I paid the deposit. Upon further inspection they discovered the multiple issues could be fixed without the upgrade, so they did all the repairs and smaller upgrades and installations (to circumvent future issues which I wouldn't have foreseen but which other "handy" people have told me were really smart), and now I can run both window AC units while washing and drying clothes and pecking at my big computer, simultaneously! They were so honorable they pointed out this option and refunded all of my deposit that wasn't needed for the job--so the job went from $4,000 to $1,000!!!! How's that for great news?! Not only would I hire them again, but I've already passed on their info to several other people!"

"Our first use of Empire was nice. They were timely, clean, and did a very nice job with our master bedroom, hall and office conversion from wall-to-wall to hard wood. Two years later we opted to use them again to remove the carpet from the remaining bedrooms from carpet to hardwood. The installers were great BUT the sales guy needs to retire. He stated that 4 bedrooms could be done in a day. With an ample size crew - ok. BUT 3 guys showed up and one left after getting the first two settled. Then later the another left leaving one guy. We were dumbfounded. They arrived at 9 a.m. and left at 11:35 p.m. We fed them lunch, we fed them rib eyes steaks for dinner. They plowed through. The sales guy called asking how it was going around 4 p.m. and I wanted to strangle him. NEVER AGAIN. Empire called to followup and when I tried to call back I got nothing so in essence they got paid and they don't care. Lesson learned - old sales guy lie."
