Very careful in moving furniture and in not disturbing things unnecessarily.
Shawn was very personable, dressed and groomed nicely, and professional overall.  No unwelcome openly displayed tattoos, piercings, etc like seen in so many service companies today.
We had a question about dust mites, and he took the time to research it and get back to us.

"The crew was punctual. They did what they said they would do in a timely fashion. There were some cracks that appeared once the cement dried which we were told might happen. They came back and filled in the cracks. Compared to other prices were were given I think the price was ok. There is no way to tell if it worked until the next very heavy rain occurs. They cleaned up after themselves but because of the nature of the work there was dust to deal afterwards.

"They really did an exceptional job. The deck rebuild was a complicated job. The deck wasn’t built correctly originally so CM Contracting had to extensively modify the structure. They really did a great job. The deck looks really great, and I think I now have the strongest deck in the Lehigh Valley. The chimney work was a big concern of mine going into the job. The previous owner of the house let the chimney cap rust, and the rust stains ran down the Dryvit. It really looked bad. Chris worked with his paint supplier to get the color to match perfectly. He had Sherwin Williams out to my house on several occasions because Chris wanted it done right. It far exceeded my expectations, and now looks perfect. The caulking and power washing all went well too. I would highly recommend CM Contracting. Chris is very responsive. We would communicate often via phone or txt. His crew is great too. Very polite and friendly."

"Mr. John O. arrived on time and alerted me prior to his coming by phone. John went around the basement and inspected the walls and windows for moisture penetration, and signs of deterioration. He listened to my concerns and wrote a report and recommended an indoor french drain installation based on his professional judgment of the situation.
I received the report with a schematic of my basement and his assessment as a pdf on email. He included a detailed estimate for the work proposed.
I feel that I got a report and an hour of evaluation for $49 and it is fair.

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. "Shortly after a severe hail storm our area was flooded with contractors offering estimates - some not so free as it turned out.  Since American Construction was fairl local, compared to some, I had them do a quick evaluation.  They suggested I contact my insurance company.  The damage wasn't obvious from the ground but was very noticeable once someone went up onto the roof.  After the insurance adjuster visited, American Construction gave me an estimate which was right on target.  The day they showed up to start the job they began by laying tarps all around the perimeter of the house to aid in cleanup.  They removed the old roofing material and cleaned up every last bit of it and hauled it away.  The new roofing material arrived while they were finishing up the removal process and they immediately began applying the tar paper and the new roof.  They also cut the plywood at the peak so that the vent actually did what it was supposed to.  My roof has several valleys and the work in those areas looks perfect.  Overall an extremely professional job.
