"Jeremy and his tile installer Jose (aka "Chewy") made this challenging job a rewarding experience in more ways than one. The project was to renovate three 1870ish fireplaces. For two of these, we were using a subway tile to emulate a Victorian-era look. The third involved a combination of slate and decorative tiles. Naturally in this old house, nothing is square, level, or plumb. Furthermore, we had a firm deadline to be met. And as so often happens with jobs like this, there were unhappy surprises requiring more work and time by the contractor than was expected. Despite all this, Jeremy and Chewy arranged their schedules (even working on a holiday) and used their creativity to overcome the issues and complete the job by the date Jeremy had committed to. Furthermore, although the project clearly was more time-consuming and complicated than anticipated, Jeremy honorably held to his bid price. The quality of the work was excellent, again particularly so when considering the construction issues this old house threw at the guys. Throughout the process, Jeremy kept us regularly posted and was always very professional and responsive - he uses his smart phone's capabilities to provide near real-time communication. Chewy has been installing tile for over 20 years, and his experience as well as aesthetic sensibility really shows. For our 3rd fireplace, we discovered that the slate tiles were about a quarter-inch larger both length and width than the decorative tiles; that required Chewy cutting the stone tiles to fit - slate is a challenging material to work with but Chewy handled it with ease . Chewy also ensured that the layout of the disparate slate tiles along with decorative tiles was done in the most eye-pleasing fashion. Altogether, the final result is spectacular. On Chewy's phone he keeps a library of past projects which proves that his design and craftmanship skills are nothing short of exceptional. I would not hesitate even one moment to give my highest recommendation to Jeremy and Chewy for any tile installation project. Thanks again, guys!"

"This is an upgraded review after an initial 2-star grading. Responsive customer service to issues with the purchase itself made all the difference and allowed me to keep an open mind as I continued into the installation process. Overall, other than a few "they could do this better" items, the quality, the accuracy, the value, the helpful support team, and the easy installation of my 7 motorized solar shades all point to 5 stars. We followed the measuring instructions carefully and received shades that fit each space exactly as I expected. Installation itself was easier than traditional shades using the solid brackets they provided. Questions I had during installation were answered promptly through Chat. The remote control was a bit of a challenge, so be patient if you bought a multi-channel one and have lots of shades in your room. And for some reason they don't tell you this, but you must have a remote for your motorized shades. The app alone isn't enough. Our only minor gripe is that determining how solar shades look at night was just a game of inference. It would be very helpful to have an online tool available to create your own scene, which includes shade color, indoor or outdoor, and time of day. Even samples don't help much more. Still, I'll return to them when it's time to take care of other rooms. We did this project for 2 to 3 thousand dollars less than big box store quoted us. It was a cinch."

"I wanted to upgrade my builder-installed cabinetry with some shelving to house my LCD television, home entertainment system, and to gain more book storage.   I sent them a drawing via email, along with the current dimensions of my cabinets.  I also sent them the dimensions of a television I had purchased so that they could design it into the new shelving.   A day later, I got a technical drawing back from them that was EXACTLY what I wanted.   I sent them a check for the costs, we scheduled an install for two weeks later.   Their representative brought the required wood to my house the next week so that it would be there for the appointed install date.  On the day of the install, the installer cut the wood, installed it very professionally.   I could not have been happier!   The new television fit absolutely PERFECT into the cut-out he made for it.   I have had SO many positive comments on my shelving that I would absolutely go back to this company for more work in the future! <br />"

"Protection Concepts was one of four companies I researched and called <br /> for estimates for a home alarm service. I chose them because the owner <br /> Jules returned my call soon after I placed my inquiry, and Jules bent <br /> over backwards to accommodate my schedule when we needed to meet for an <br /> estimate. Jules even came to my office to make it easier for me to sign <br /> the needed paperwork. <br /> His workers installed three glass break <br /> sensors and a basic alarm panel, and a cellular link to the monitoring <br /> center (We don't have a phone land line).
