"The guys arrived on time, a few minutes early actually, and got right to work. They were clean and quiet and worked seemingly very quickly (less than 1.5 hours) considering the tight spaces of my attic. When complete they had me to view the work before sealing up the spaces. I'm not an expert but everything looked good to me. My only regret was not directing them to another space that could use insulation but that is my fault no theirs. That aside, I began to notice a difference within a few hours. With it being a bit chilly, ~55 outside, the whole house warmed up to about 68 with the heat set at 65 and not actively running. Before the insulation the second floor usually sat around 2-4 degrees lower than downstairs on a cold day and the heat would be on constantly to maintain 65 on the first floor. Needless to say, I am very happy and am looking forward to this summer to really put this stuff to the test. <br>"

She gave us realistic timelines and worked quickly to resolve an unanticipated issue with 3 runners being slightly different widths (manufacturer issue). She understood our space challenges (row home with kids and a dog) and creative ways to expand the space without a big price tag. "This Master Bedroom renovation has been a pleasant experience in comparison with the experience I had in renovating the kitchen. (NOTE: another contractor was used).  Mr. Almonte has an uncanny ability in listening to the client (me) and producing ideas into something tangible.  The design of the master bedroom is one that is inclusive of my desires as well as exhibiting a blend of traditional elegance with contemporary styling.  The project is not complete as of yet; but I am so happy with the results thus far.  The room has certainly been transformed into an inviting and magnificent habitat. (NOTE:  Some family members and friends have viewed the work in progress and share my excitement and pleasure.  Currently, we are in the process of having the custom headboard panels made.  The project is expected to be completed within a couple of months due to the master bathroom renovation occurring simultaneously. <br /> In finalizing my remarks, Mr. Almonte's professionalism is near perfection. "Wonderfully well. Jay designed the first two baths. He was also able to bring me a contractor to do the work. The bid was competitive/less with the other I got based on Jay's designs. The work turned out so well, I had Jay design the master bath too, using the same contractor. Further, Jay helped me choose new tiles for the entry way, new doors, and colors for an interior repaint. As I got to know him and his work, I just kept turning to him for advice. He is pleasant, responsive and easy to work with. I thought his rates were very reasonable. With my job, he worked by the hour which if I remember correctly was $150 per. He doesn't charge for travel time. I am happy with my newly redone home."
