"It's good to have a go-to plumber that you're comfortable with. Bob Larson is definitely that for me. I've had them do various plumbing jobs for me over the past few years and I have found them to be professional and reasonably priced."

"Nick & team were great working on my 1926 colonial remodel. Fair price, good work to install the PEX, limited amount of wall holes needed. Cost me $4500 for a 2-story house with 2 bathroom. Plus $1800 for the water main. Very responsive over e-mail and phone. They did miss two things, including a discount we agreed to on the invoice. But as soon as I mentioned it they fixed it right away. All fine."

"I have hired this company twice - first to find and fix a leak from a bathtub with shower and a second time to replace a kitchen faucet. Both times it was easy to schedule a visit quickly and the workers who came were friendly, knowledgeable, and honest about what they needed to do, what they found, and what work was needed or suggested. I am very happy with this company and their work!"

"The install went great. Upon first calling, the person I spoke with knew where his team members were and provided me with a reasonable estimate for when the work would get done. The installers called a bit ahead of time (great), and when they arrived, they did a great job on the install. These folks are at the top of my list for any future plumbing work. (unlike Roto-Rooter who I will never call again.)"

"While the plumber was 35 minutes late he did call prior to the time range and let us know he was going to be late.  The repair ended up being very minor (tightening a bolt) and he wouldn't charge us (or even take cash as a tip!).  We asked about hands free faucet installation and he said that they kept data on which brands worked best but told us we had a great faucet and didn't have to switch out.  Even my 15 year old daughter was impressed with his professionalism and honesty! <br />"

"It went well. He worked steadily and efficiently. I chose to go with Plumb Line for two reasons: first, they gave me the best price; and second, because I liked the way that Greg communicates, explaining clearly my questions about the heater that he installed."

"Ron arrived on time and after I explained the problems (front faucet would sometimes leak after being turned off, back one leaked badly when turned on) he checked them to see if they were and quot;repairableand quot; or needed to be replaced before he wrote up our free estimate. They were both the original ones installed when the house was built 35 years ago. Both had to be replaced. The estimate was in line with 'ball-park' figures I had received from calls to other plumbers so I accepted his quote. However, since both replacements would require access through our narrow crawl-space under the house, he informed us that he could not complete the job but did call a co-worker. Jarrett arrived a couple of hours later and did complete the work. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Because of the accessibility issue and a problem with removing the old faucet and installing the new one through the brick faand ccedil;ade in the front, the job took longer than expected but he still charged us based on the original quote! <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Both plumbers were congenial and professional. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The Plumbing and Drain Co. will be my first call if I need any plumbing work in the future. <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Eatonville, WA

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
