"It went perfectly. I called and spoke to the office immediately. They came out the next day on a Sunday prepared to give an estimate and complete the job. Everything is done. They performed quality work with quality products, very professional, clean-cut, honest, efficient, fair price. We are very happy and highly recommend them."

"Brian Howell came to my home, was on time and after assessing the <br /> condition of the masonite, provided me with a very thorough estimate. I <br /> was very impressed with Brian's commitment to doing the replacement <br /> right and not having to return for any workmanship failures in the <br /> future. I decided to paint the masonite for now as I had undertaken <br /> other major upgrades and did not want to stretch my home budget at the <br /> time. I would definitely contact Brian again. <br />"

"We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem. An extra bracket was included, which we also installed as this will be a large ?sail? on the side of the house and we want it to stay there. We extend our sincere thanks to the team at RetractableAwnings.com, and for those review sites that accept photographs, we include the following photo."

"We found this Company top notch. The sales person that walked around the house drawing up what we wanted was on-time for the appointment, very friendly and professional, and gave us several options. He also went over the different types of gutters and downspouts and provided his opinion on what he felt would work best for us. <br /> We received our estimate the next day and was told upfront it would be 6-weeks out before the job could be done, if we decided to have them do the job. <br /> In May, the job was started and completed within one day. The installers installed the 5and quot; wide gutters, splash gurards and hand mitered all the corners of the gutters, and installed the rain barrels with the downspouts as agreed upon. They cleaned up after themselves and were very professional as we threw questions at them as they worked. The project manager came out the next day to inspect the work and to ask if we had any issues or concerns with the work that was performed. We did find that one of the mitered corners was not done completely right and could possibly create a problem down the road. The PM made note and said he would have someone out to fix it, which was done a week later. <br /> The gutters are perserved with Dupont Telflon surface finish protector with an EMCO Lifetime limited transferrable warranty. There is also a 25-year chalk and fade guarentee. <br /> We are very happy with ABC Seamless work and with the product we purchased. The product and the people are professional and are honest and upfront with customers. We were delighted with their honesty and integrity. We have and will continue to recommend this company for any gutter/downspout work. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Edenton, NC

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
