"Outstanding service! The pine tree in our backyard is a centerpiece of the yard, but it was unshapely and crowded from behind by a 50 foot tall honey locust tree. The team arrived at 8:30 in the morning, and with an efficiency I have never seen before they removed the honey locust to the ground without getting a single branch of my neighbors property and they trimmed our pine tree and made it absolutely beautiful! They did all that in less than 90 minutes. ð ²ð"

"Rick was the most responsive contractor we have ever dealt with. He responded to our initial inquiry on Angie's list within a couple of hours, was out to our house to talk with us and take measurements within 1 or 2 days, and had us a detailed step by step bid within a couple of days. The project was completed in a very timely and professional manner and Rick and his staff were very friendly and pleasant. They were very thorough in their cleanup each day and except for the daily progress on the deck, we would never have known they were even there. We highly recommend River City Remodeling and would definitely use them again in the future."

"Giant installed a deck awning for us. Chris came out, measured, explained the entire process and sent us an itemized quote down to the type of screws being used. Adam and his crew were very respectful of our property during the process. We didn't have to remove any deck furnishings and they replaced everything when finished. The awning looks fantastic! Tish from the office kept us informed throughout the process, including arrival and departure times of the crew. They didn't ask for any payment until they were finished and we were happy with the outcome. We highly recommend this very professional and exceptional company."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
