"Dusty was amazing to work with. He did an outstanding job and we could not be happier. We ended up hiring him to do our fathers house too. He installed laminate flooring there and it turned out amazing. He also did trim work there that looked excellent. He is very reliable and does amazing work. We usually don’t like to refer people but we have no hesitation referring Dusty. He truly is the kind of guy you can give your house keys to and trust 100%."

"<p>I told the person in the store that I just wanted a small section of carpet.  When he discovered that there would be no large sale, he pointed towards a bin across the floor and lost interest. After buying the carpet there was no offer to help carry it to the car.  Perhaps if you're buying a larger piece of carpet, your customer service experience will be better. I did not do any other shopping to compare prices, so the rating for "Price" is just a guess.</p> <br />"

"Eric did a great job, our carpeting looks newly installed. Although he was running late, he called and gave us an updated time or the option to reschedule. We opted for the new time. He was very through inspecting the carpeting, vacuuming and cleaning. Due to the delay in his arrival he treated the carpeting at no additional cost. We will be calling Eric back out next year for the annual cleaning. <br />"

"Steve was awesome, he came to my house with samples and made recommendations for types of carpet in different areas in my home. The installers were great, very friendly, quick, and cleaned up everything when they were finished. The price was very fair and competitive with the other quotes I had received, but the service and quality of the product was much better. I would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone!"

"It was a great experience! Lowe's helped us pick out a new washing machine. We ultimately selected a; <br /> GE Top Loading Washer - Model#: GTWN4250DWS. <br /> The price listed above, $426, was after a 10% store discount and 5% discount for purchasing the machine on my Lowe's credit card. They provide free installation and they will remove our old washer gratis too. We purchased the washer on Friday and it will be installed tomorrow morning, Sunday!  <br /> The price was good, and all the staff are friendly and helpful. But I would like to especially recommend you to Jim in the Appliance department. Jim isn't just a salesman ... he's very knowledgeable about the products, and better than that, he's honest. <br /> I've only met Jim twice - both times in Lowe's to buy an appliance. the first time was about a year ago when I bought a Bosch Dishwashing Machine. I was SO happy with that purchase and the advice from Jim that helped me select that model, that I returned to buy a new washing machine. <br /> Our not-so-old MayTag Neptune TL model had bit the dust, thankfully! I say that because it was a piece of junk that gave us problems from the time we bought it back in 2003 at a very big box appliance store, NOT Lowe's. The Neptune was the model that caused MayTag to go bankrupt in 2006. <br /> Anyway, our excellent experience working with Jim at Lowe's on 65th Street in Shawnee, KS, caused us to return once more to the same store for another different appliance. Having someone like him to go to feels as if you have a relative in the business. His advice is impartial and objective, and he treats you as if he were buying the appliance for himself. <br /> I initially went into the store having fully researched washing machines including buying a subscription to Consumer Reports. I had it in mind to buy any one of the top 5 top-loading washers recommended by C.R., all High Efficiency models. But I wanted to see what Lowe's had to offer too, and especially discuss the pros and cons with Jim, assuming that he still worked there. He does, and after looking at the H.E. models vs the more traditional machines, I decided to go with a more bare bones GE offering. <br /> I have to remember that this is a STORE , not a washing machine, review, and I highly recommend Lowe's on 65th Street and particularly Jim in the Appliance Department for anyone in need of a new washing machine, dishwasher, or any other appliance. A great service! <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Edwardsville, KS

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
