"This was the 3rd time I’ve used Axium (specifically Tim Krapfl) for home inspection. Tim is very thorough, knowledgeable, and professional! I highly recommend. Tim did the home inspection, but the services also included sewer scope and radon testing."

"The company was very professional. Asbestos Professional showed up on schedule and under budget. During my kitchen and bathroom remodel, the schedule had to be changed several times due to our schedule. Asbestos was able to accommodate the changing schedule. The clean-up was perfection. We passed air quality tests in fly colors. Personnel communicated every step of the way. I would definitely use them again."

"I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Lead Safe Testing LLC! <br /> <br />We are in the process of buying and home that was built in the early 70s, and with a little one, wanted make sure we weren't being exposed to lead in our walls and home. After reading about their amazing process online, I dialed in and was immediately answered by Daniel. He was polite and listened to my story and even though he was on his way to a meeting, he took the time to talk me through the process, provide certification, and give me a great list of options. He was able to get someone out to the home the following afternoon, less than 24 hrs after I called him. <br /> <br />I met Stephen (the expert) at the home and was thoroughly impressed by his professionalism and expertise. He let me accompany him as he performed a thorough inspection of all the buildings on the property, inside and out, talking me through the process the whole time, and answering all my questions. He was very personable, obviously loved what he did, and blew me away with the service he provided. <br /> <br />Included in the service is of course a complete summary and read out of their findings. I am so grateful I found Daniel and Stephen. Their help and knowledge is priceless and has helped us immensely through this process, giving us much needed peace of mind. If you are at all concerned about lead in your home, you must must call these guys. They do a great job. <br />"

"We had recently purchased a house and were looking to ultimately re-do the basement. Given the age of the house (built in 1912), we knew there would be asbestos SOMEWHERE in the house and testing showed that a good portion of the basement tile (which had just been carpeted over) was asbestos. We bid the project out to three different providers and got estimates all over the place - from about $2000 to upwards of $10,000. At first, we were a little hesitant to go with the lower-cost option because asbestos removal is nothing to skimp on. However, after talking with John about their process and the precautions they take, we felt comfortable going with them. Once we were scheduled, everything went very smoothly: they were on time, professional, thorough, and completed the job in the time allotted (even finishing a little earlier than we expected). John came to get them set up, and then left the work to two guys. We selected an independent company to do an air clearance test and Eco Tech coordinated the visit once they were done with the work. In addition to passing them, the testing company said that they had never worked with Eco Tech before and were very impressed with the removal job. Overall, we had a great experience with Eco Tech and would definitely recommend them."

"Really outstanding service in a very difficult situation.  CHC was very sensitive to my families needs and worked with us to recover what we could from the wreckage.  They worked with us, with the insurance company, and with a difficult governmental organization to make every thing go as smoothly as possible. <br />"

"I needed to have two windows confirmed for no lead before replacing them. I also decided to do a whole house inspection in preparation for selling a pre-1978 house. I contacted DS Consulting who gave me the direct number to their Lead Inspector, Steve (Steve is a certified lead-based paint inspector and his firm is also certified, as a Lead Evaluation Firm) . Steve responded to my voice mail quickly. He was extremely helpful in explaining what the process was and in providing all his certification information via email. He was able to schedule me for the next day and I had the report via email that night. Since I only needed a report on two windows for my window replacement, Steve offered to provide me with two reports, one for the window company that only detailed the two windows, and another for the whole house. Very accomodating! Will call DS Consulting directly if I decide to move walls around and need to have an asbestos inspection."

FAQs for toxic lead testing projects in Eldorado Springs, CO

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a strong chance it contains lead-based paint. Many pre-1980 houses also contain lead in their plumbing and decorative materials, so age alone is a significant red flag. Older homes near industrial areas face an even higher risk. Because you can’t confirm lead by sight, scheduling a test is the safest way to protect your family.

In older houses, lead can lurk in painted trim, window sashes, soil around the foundation, plumbing pipes, and even vintage hardware. The metal is toxic, and children and pregnant women are most at risk. Exposure can trigger developmental delays, learning problems, and organ damage. Because the EPA links even low levels to serious health effects, test every suspected surface and address any hazards right away.

A positive test means lead is present somewhere you can touch, breathe, or disturb. The next step is a full risk assessment to map exactly where the hazard lies and outline the safest fix: encapsulation, enclosure, or full removal. Repairs start at $1,000 but can exceed $10,000 for complete elimination, so act quickly and hire certified pros to keep your family safe.

EPA lead certification proves that inspectors, risk assessors, and abatement contractors follow federal safety rules under the Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Program. The credential costs an average of $300, and certified professionals can legally test, contain, or remove lead hazards. Hiring a certified pro protects you from fines and ensures the work meets strict health standards.

Lead-based paint looks no different from any other paint, so you can’t identify it by color or sheen. Even flawless walls may hide it. If paint starts chipping, flaking, or peeling, schedule a professional test right away. Only laboratory-grade testing confirms lead and guides the safest fix for your home.
