"Julian, Mark, and Mario did a wonderful job in our home, placing tile throughout the entire area. We purchased expensive wood-looking plank tile, so it was important to me that it was installed correctly the first time.  I had two other companies come out and quote the home, one being a contractor quoting about the same price as Julian and the other was a tile company, quoting about $8,000 more than what Julian did the job for.  As soon as I met Julian, I knew he would do a great job.  He was very honest and told me several times that his main goal is to ensure that the customer is happy.  There were five rooms and some common areas that needed to be done so it took nearly two weeks for the three of them to complete the job.  They did a great job at keeping things tidy as they worked throughout me home.  They even found several small things throughout my home that needed repair (a running toilet and new wheels on a cabinet) and they were happy to fix them for me.  With all tile, subfloor, mortar, supplies and labor, the job cost just under $13,000.  I could not be happier with the job they did and I would recommend Julian Tile to anyone.  They are hardworking, honest guys that were really enjoyable to be around.

"They are absolutely the best contractors I have hired from Home Advisor so far. They was very professional, courteous, always on time, and they made sure everything was done to my satisfaction. They also cleaned up behind themselves before they left. It was also refreshing to have the owner of the company personally inspect the deck prior to collecting my payment. I'm hiring them for a bathroom remodel and enclosing the deck to become either a room or a playhouse for my grandson. I highly recommend these professionals to work on your home remodels because they are very reasonable and know what they are doing."

"We would like to thank Robert, Thomas and their crew for the wonderful job they did in laying sod in our front and side yard.  Our yard is on a slope and we were having a problem with erosion.  We contacted Royal Landscaping due to their positive reviews on Angie's List.  It turned out to be a good move on our part.  They responded to our request promptly and explained what they could do to remedy the matter.  Within a week, they were here working on our front yard.  They arrived early and stayed until the job was finished.  They re-graded our sloping yard and placed our new sod.  They really went above and beyond to give us a beautiful front yard we can be proud of.  Our front yard never looked so good!   During the whole process, Robert and his crew were great.  They were easy to work with and even offered to check in to make sure everything was going ok.  They were also very knowledgeable about telling us how to care for our new lawn.  This company offers a guarantee on their sod installation which many companies do not offer. We appreciate all their hard work and would definitely use their services again.

FAQs for baseboard installation projects in Elizabethtown, NC

Installing crown molding can be challenging, depending on the material and your skill level. Lightweight materials like polystyrene and softwoods are easier for homeowners to install themselves, offering a cost-saving option. However, heavier materials like hardwoods and plaster are difficult to work with and require professional installation to achieve a high-quality result. Precision is crucial in measuring, cutting, and fitting crown molding, so hiring a professional ensures the best outcome.

Crown molding is available at various price points, ranging from $1 to $30 per linear foot, depending on the material. This wide range offers options for every budget. Affordable materials like MDF, PVC, and polystyrene provide cost-effective solutions, while premium materials like exotic hardwoods or metal offer a luxurious appearance at a higher cost. Regardless of your budget, you can find crown molding that enhances your home's aesthetic.

Crown molding is installed by professional finish carpenters or painters who specialize in detailed trim work. These experts possess the necessary skills and tools to ensure precise measurements, accurate cuts, and seamless installation. By hiring a professional, you can achieve a flawless finish that enhances your home's aesthetic appeal without the risk of common DIY mistakes.

Crown molding can be installed in various areas of your house to add elegance and architectural interest. It is commonly used where walls meet the ceiling, but you can also place crown molding around doors, windows, mirrors, and atop cabinets. Installing crown molding in these locations enhances visual appeal, creates a cohesive design, and adds a touch of sophistication to your home's interior.

To determine how much crown molding to purchase, start by measuring the length of each wall where you plan to install crown molding and add the measurements together to determine the total linear feet required. Purchase an extra 10% of material to account for waste from cutting angles and to ensure seamless joints by using full-length pieces when possible. Including additional material helps avoid shortages and ensures a smooth installation process.

For a professional crown molding installer, this task takes about 1 to 3 hours per room, depending on size and complexity. Factors like the material, design intricacy, and number of corners can affect the time. If you're doing it yourself, expect it to take longer as you get the hang of measuring and cutting precise angles. Advanced measuring and planning or hiring a pro can help the project go smoothly.
