"I’ve now how my sod for a year and a half and I am CONSTANTLY having lawn issues. I’ve had lawn pro after lawn pro come out and all tell me the same thing, “whoever installed your sod didn’t do a good job, the sod is of very poor quality”. I spent over $10k for my landscape job with this company and wanted to have the best lawn in the neighborhood. Instead I have constant problems and have spend lots of $$$ trying to fix THEIR MISTAKES. Stay away from C&L Landscaping."

"We signed up for Masters a year ago and requested lawn cutting service only. We were told we could only sign up for and subsequently pay for full lawn service including weeding and “full lawn care”. Our front yard is full of weeds and our neighbors have said something in concern the weeds will spread to their yard. My husband emailed Masters, they came out promptly looked, said they would change the treatment and follow up to make sure the lawn improved. No one ever came back or followed up. Masters came today to provide the weekly service and our lawn looks bad. My husband is in the backyard pulling weeds and I’m about to retrim the grass myself because there are parts in the front and back left uncut. We’ve reached out multiple times and nothing has changed. I would very much not recommend."

"It went great! They were very flexible and did the replacement a section at a time so I could pay over time. The guys doing the work were very good, and worked very hard. They showed up when scheduled and cleaned up as they went. I am very pleased. My new fence looks great!"

"These people were awful. First, their rep came to assess the need. The rep could only locate 5 of the 6 zones I had before these guys did their "repair". As the project proceeded, the price kept going up. When they were "finished", the system didn't work because there was a problem with the pump, which, incredibly, they said they didn't know how to fix, despite the fact that a pump is a typical feature of sprinkler systems in this area. When I called the owner/manager to ask if they could at least direct me to someone who could fix the pump, he told me he didn't know anybody and actually asked if I would let him know if I found someone so that they would then know someone who could do that work. I found someone to fix the pump who said it was a simple fix. In the end, I was left with a missing zone that was not receiving water, electric lines literally lying on top of the ground, not buried, so that my dogs could get at them, and today, only one of the five remaining zones working."

"This is the most unhonorable company I have ever used. We have been paying $163 a month for lawn care/fertilization. Our front yard was maintained but the back was clearly not given the same attention. We had new sod installed in a portion of our backyard in Feb 2023 and were told they "knew how to handle new sod" and they would make sure it was treated properly. In May/June we noticed the sod started to turn brown/yellow. We notified McGuire of the issue immediately and finally someone came out to notify us of having to adjust our watering and that they "treated it". In July the lawn crew came to mow and my husband asked them if they could take care of the weeds we had growing in our new sod. To which they replied "sure we can do that". I watched them outback with a spray pump and within 2 days the grass had large patches that completely killed the grass. We have been in contact with them about these issues and they "looked into it". We were told that the lawn crew did not spray anything and that they don't even have spray pumps to carry around. So now I am a liar?? Why would I lie about something like this?? What an awful thing to do to a customer who has been paying you $163 a month to not even do the job properly. Several times they have had to come back because they couldn't even mow the grass properly. They would use a weed whacker instead of bringing the mower to the back. They would miss several spots, weeds in flower bed etc. They would come out after we put in a ticket but why would I even have to bother making sure the service I am paying for is done and done right? Ridiculous. I should have listened to the previous negative reviews. Now they want me to pay for KILLING my grass. Grass that I worked hard to pay for. Obviously they do not care. Especially when people will continue to pay these high amounts for a 10min half done job. I don't know what happened to customer service but it surely doesn't exist here. PLEASE TAKE YOUR SERVICE ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Elkton, FL

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
