"DMV Kitchen and Bath RECOMMENDATION 2023 March In December 2022-January 2023, DMV Kitchen and Bath completely gutted and rebuilt 2 bathrooms for me (foundation, pipes, electric – everything). In addition, they restored several 110 year-old door transoms, installed new doors (5 panel solid wood) throughout the house, upgraded some woodwork, installed two pocket doors, and painted a few rooms. We used high quality materials throughout, not builder-grade. This is the third time I’ve asked DMV Kitchen and Bath to do a major renovation in one of my properties over the last 10 years. Each time they have done superior work when it comes to: • Doing service properly on first try • Promptness • Letting you know cost early • Neatness of work • Pleasantness • Advice on service options and costs • Overall quality • Prices I cannot recommend DMV Kitchen and Bath more highly. "VKB did an excellent job on both bathrooms, and replaced the damaged drywall in the dining room from the plumbing incident(s) that led to the decision to remodel the bathrooms. The work was completed on-time and (ever so slightly) under-budget. The PM (Jason) kept us informed and updated to everything that was going on and what to expect schedule-wise. The crew chief, Jonathan, was here every day working diligently and with an amazing attention to detail. I appreciated the craftsmanship he displayed, his explanations he gave to allow me to make decisions, and the consistency of having the same person in charge for the entire project. Jonathan worked long hours and was truly committed to the success of the project. I would definitely hire them again and in fact I am planning on engaging them again for our kitchen when we are ready for that."

"John E. Ruth company remodeled our basement bathroom several years ago (about $7000). They completely gutted the old bathroom and rebuilt it from scratch. The work they did was first-rate and the bathroom still looks beautiful.
After superstorm Sandy, we had them come back and install a water-powered backup sump pump as well as cleaning and lining our old sump and replacing the old electric pump. The backup has worked flawlessly on the few occasions when the power was out and it came on.
However, last week, there was a problem with the pipe leading from the main sump pump. Over time and with much use, the coupling worked itself loose. Fortunately, John E. Ruth sent out a plumber, Charlie, within an hour after I called them and he came up with a permanent fix to the problem.
The supervisor (Jim Arnold) agreed that we did not owe them anything for this repair because they had originally installed the backup pump.
Overall, we have been very pleased with the work they have performed and they stood behind their work when it counted. Also, they responded very quickly to our emergency. We would definitely use John E. Ruth plumbing again.

"Joe and his team did an exceptional job helping us integrate multiple projects in our basement and the results were outstanding! We had to have our existing partially finished basement demolished so we could have french drains and a sump system put in, as well as a geothermal heating/cooling installation accomplished, after having an existing oil burning furnace and radiant heating system removed. The basement restoral project included plumbing and sink replacement, electrical and lighting efficiency upgrades, framing and drywall replacement, door replacements, flooring replacement, and a few decorative additions to give the space some character. The entire process: scoping, design, coordination, execution, and detailed wrap up was accomplished under a great leader and problem solver with highly credible and expert tradesman.
