"He arrived a little earlier than expected. That was okay. We were ready for him. He came in and immediately asked where the problem was. He went into the guest restroom with me and I flushed the toilet for him. He listened to the loud vibrating noise I told him about. He know right away what the problem was. He went out to his truck and came back with a new float valve. He installed it in about 5 minutes. Then we went to the master bathroom and took measurements for a new shower. Another 5 minutes and a brief explanation of what needed to be done. He was done in about 15-20 minutes. The part he replaced was about $12.00 + tax. He charged 1.5 hours at $90.00/hour. I think he should have charged for more like 0.5 hours. That is why I gave him a B on his price. I did not mind too much though. I am happy the noise is gone. <br />"

"Aqueous was absolutely helpful from start to finish! I wasn’t sure if we should change our failing water heater to a new one, let alone tankless system. We were walked through the process from start to finish, and all of my concerns and questions were answered. I would recommend Aqueous to anyone looking to replace or upgrade their water system."

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"I was very impressed with how friendly and professional they were on the phone.  I expected ot have to wait several days before anyone could come out, but they told me they would call the next morning when the service guy was on his way! They phoned me as promised the next morning and 10 minutes later the service guy was at my door.  He was also very friendly and professional, went over everything he was going to do, and I gave him the go ahead to proceed with the work.  He also explained that they give estimates by job, not by the hour. So, if it took him 1/2 hour or 1/2 a day the price would be the same.  I'm sure I could have had the job done a bit cheaper, but I was very impressed with how prompt, courteous, and professional they are that I just had them out to quote me for some duct work and some work that needs to be done to our showers.   <br /> <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Empire, NV

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
