"I had a front slab that was separating from the front porch. I contacted Place & Finish to give me a quote. Filippo came out and reviewed the problem and determined that the contractor that put the slab in never connected the slab to the front porch with rebar. Filippo said that he would take out the old slab and attach the new slab to the front porch with rebar. Filippo did a great job, he removed all the old concrete and cleaned up after he was finish. He was very pleasant, easy to communicate with and explained everything he was going yo do. I would highly recommend Place & Finish."

"I had a Bald Cypress tree in my front yard that I wanted removed. Soon after I submitted the request on Angie's List, Frank called me to discuss the specifics and we scheduled an appointment. He came out and explained that it would be a simple job since the tree was in the middle of the yard, easily accessible, and his crew could knock it out in 2 hours or less. But due to several days of rain in our area, he was running behind by a week or so, therefore it might be while before he could fit me in. This wasn't a problem for me since I didn't need the job done ASAP. I was also pleased when he told me that I would not have to be present when the job was taking place. About 2 weeks later Frank calls to let me know they'll be coming out to remove my tree. I was out of the house for only 2 hours, but when I returned the tree was gone, the stump was ground down, the hole had been filled in, and all debris cleaned up. Frank's crew did exactly as he had promised, and I'm extremely pleased."

"We removed a fiberglass swimming pool shell because it had floated up, leaving a huge hole surrounded by the concrete walkway - dangerous!  We got quotes to fill the hole and leave the patio, but they were outrageous - $7-8000!. We decided to go ahead and remove the patio and found Essie's Bobcat here on Angie's list. Jeremiah gave us a quote for removing the walkway and suggested using it to fill the bottom of the hole and save the cost of that much fill dirt - and even better, the quote was so reasonable! Jeremiah and his crew came over on the scheduled day and proceeded to remove the patio.  And then, with the bobcat.  they moved the existing soil from our yard all around and was able to completely fill the pool hole!! - We were ecstatic!!  He was also able to remove a ton of overgrowth at the back of the property and that made the yard look so HUGE now!  Jeremiah and his crew took our backyard from dangerous a disaster to a big beautiful "lot of potential".  They're great!"

"I turned to Angie’s List to find someone to do some excavation work & leveling for an above ground swimming pool. We purchased our pool in April and reached out to at least a dozen or more companies and they were all either no shows or no response (even after providing us with a quote). It has been beyond frustrating because it was now July and no pool!! So I called Daylon with Giddens & Assoc and immediately got a response back. He came out that same day to look at our property and go over the project. He spent well over an hour discussing our plans & ideas for the project and provided us with a quote by that same evening. "At fist, everything was good. Few days into the job, the crew go scheduled for another job. Then it seemed like my job was rushed. past few months started to notice more and more cracks in the sheet rock. Now I have a large hole where one of the piers were install. was filled with concrete. The concrete broke and exposed a large hole that was never filled in properly. Have tried to contact them by phone and email, with no such luck. Phones are disconnected and cant send any type of message to them."

"Miguel was prompt and kept in good communication.  He worked with me to verify type of gravel used as the base, and assisted with installation of an improved vapor barrier I supplied myself, (two layers of Tu Tuf #4 and form sides consisting of Foamular 150 glued to the concrete permimeter beam in the garage).  Concrete pour of 5 inches of #4-reinforced 4000-psi concrete when very well, sloping 2 inches from back to front, and smoothed nicely by his team throughout the afternoon into early evening.  Highly recommend M & T Concrete, will ask them back for the rest of the driveway.
