"I met with Gary in October to discuss adding a granite cap to my outdoor fire pit. The original fire pit stone and mortar had deteriorated. Gary was able to work with a stone quarry and have them create a round sold granite cap to go over the existing stone. The granite was delivered and placed on top of the pit today as he had to drive a truck across my lawn and we wanted to be sure the ground was frozen. He will return in the spring to finish the work by applying mortar under the granite and he will also do some stone wall repair at that time. While this project has been long and slow, Gary always quickly responded to my text and phone messages. The cost was more than I would like, but material costs are very high everywhere right now. I will definitely work with Gary again."

"This is the 2nd job we has Steve do for us. The was a min bathroom renovation and also kitchen backsplash. Bathroom came out great. He walled off a second door to access the bathroom, ripped out old tile, and put down new tile and installed a new vanity. Very happy with the finished product. Steve also did the backsplash in the kitchen. It came out perfect. I would definitely recommend Steve for any home improvement projects you may have."

"These guys use pushy and gimmicky sales strategies so be ready for that. The grout used to point the chimney spilled down the roof (still there after rain) and onto the windows and screens that I had to clean up. They said it was a two man job but it turned out to be one guy doing the work and the other guy sitting in the car looking at his phone or just not there. They got the job done promptly which was essential in this case and it looks fine but I am not feeling the value."

He re-pointed mortar, fixed top course of brick, sealed outside of chimney, replaced flashing. He discovered termites along one section of foundation and excavated around remaining perimeter of house to check for other termites/bugs; treated as required.  Peter has been in the construction business for 23 years and is technically knowledgeable.  He has a keen eye for areas that may have problems; investigated areas of concern, and showed what needed to be done. Am well pleased with work done by Peter for Shamrock Construction.
