"He was very professional and showed up when he said he would. I showed him the water heater, he did some checks- voltage and ohms to see if elements and thermostats were good. He said he could hear some water running so we went out and opened the crawl space and sure enough there was a water leak. he went and got the materials that he needed to resolve the leak, fixed the leak. Rechecked the water heater. Great Job Thanks. "A+""

"Outstanding. Morgan is a straight-up, honest guy. I am a single woman, who recently purchased a home that needs misc. work. From installing my make-up mirror to replacing the missing weather strips on my doors to installing my new dishwasher and...throwing the frisbee for my active German Shepard......he will be the only one I call going forward."

"Great Experience. Had a slow leak bubbling up in my driveway. Plumber needed leak detection and recommended Simply Leak Detection as the top one of the 3 names he gave me. Micheal was busy but fit me in the next week since it wasn't an emergency, came on time, charged the quoted price (lower than some others) and found the leak quickly. He patiently explained what could have happened, what else might be needed and why. Job Details: Property Type: Residential Service: Water Leak Detection Location: Bothell, Washington 98021 Date Completed: Jul 2019"

"Allied Plumbing (formerly O'neil Plumbing in Moses Lake area) is one of the best plumbing services my company has ever used. Allied was able to schedule a job on short notice, showed up on time, did a thorough job and charged a fair price. What else can you ask for from a plumbing company! Well, how about a follow up call from the owner/manager, Ron Smiley, insuring the job was done to satisfaction and then going on to explain a whole host of extraordinary plumbing services that I was not aware of. Like being to do lateral sewer connections, including trenchless sewer line repairs, anything to do with water pumps, and commercial plumbing services. Ron is a smart business man that understands the value of long term relationships."

"When I needed to have a leaking faucet in my laundry room sink replaced I first called a "Handy Man" service in Olympia, thinking that it would be cheaper than a regular plumber.  When the handy man gave me an estimate of $300, which I knew was way out of line for the work involved,  I decided to ask friends and relatives for recommendations.  Everyone said the same thing: Call DJ's, they are good, they are quick and they are honest.  I called them and explained what I needed done. I also told them that I knew that it was just a small job and that I would be willing to wait until they had a crew in the area doing someone else's bigger job.   <br /> The person I spoke to was great.  She said that she would schedule me in when they did have a truck out this way, and that it would probably be within a week to 10 days.  She told me that they charge $90 an hour, with an hour minimum. <br /> She called me back 2 days later and said that if I were going to be home the following morning she could have someone stop and do the work.  First thing the next day the truck pulled up.  I aimed to workers at the sink and handed them the replacement faucet which I had found on sale at Amazon, and less than 15 minutes later they were done. <br /> They told me that the office would be mailing me a bill.  Rather than wait I called the office and offered to pay with my credit card.  I was pleasantly surprised and more than pleased when I was told that because the job went so quickly I was only being charged half of the usual minimum.  So instead of the $90 I was quoted,  they only charged me $45 plus tax. <br /> This would be a wonderful world if all the businesses were like DJ's Plumbing.  I HIGHLY recommend them! <br />"

"It went very well. After a bit of a wait, I received a very comprehensive report of 88 specific items as well as bacteria, fungi and particles. Each Item detected over the EPA drinking water limits had an explanation sheet. Also provided was a contact person at the company to address any questions you had about the report findings. I thought the service was well worth the $300 just for the peace of mind. I intend to use the company on an annual basis going forward."

"My house had two bedrooms and two bathrooms that needed top to bottom paint, ceilings included. But first, the two bedrooms had many layers of paint OVER several different wallpapers. There were even wrinkles in these layers. What a mess! I was not up to this. Austin gave me a fair bid and worked with my schedule to get the job going. There was a level of communication, before they even started, that surpasses the average contractor. He and his crew were a delight to work with. They were positive, hard working, and as a customer, I've never felt so appreciated. The quality of the job they did is an easy five stars. Thanks guys, for a job perfectly done."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Ethel, WA

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
