Customers say: Quick response

"We are generally hesitant to hire anyone for the inside of our home. Jimmy came and gave us an estimate, and we found him to be very knowledgeable and professional and willing to accommodate our needs. He and his crew were/are great communicators and excellent painters and a pleasure to share our home with for a couple days. They were on time both days, took care of our furnishings while painting the walls and ceilings, and cleaned completely when they finished. We will hire him again and again when needed. RECCOMMEND. Thanks Jimmy."

"Hector is quick, professional and very good at what he does. He helped my college student with setting up her apartment and I wish I could find someone this experienced back home. Wonderful! Will definitely hire him each time I’m in Madison. "

"I could not be more pleased with the entire process and team at Five Star. They went above and beyond with our project. They were on time and left the workplace better than when they arrived. They made sure we were happy with our overall project. I highly recommend them for any painting project. We used them for a house and garage full paint and trim."

"Angel showed up right on time. He painted 2 coats of paint in a bedroom for me. He did an excellent job and just took him apx 3 hours. That included running blowers to dry the first coat. He was very friendly and I would highly recommend him."

"TDS provided excellent quality and service from start to finish. They removed the old brick chimney that was between the kitchen and dining room, and they did such an excellent job containing the demo debris that I didn’t even have to dust after! They also protected our existing flooring very well. You also can’t even see the patching on the ceiling. And at the end of the job, the PM let us know of a couple other issues he spotted in the attic (replacing vents) but didn’t pressure us in any way to sign them on for another project. I highly recommend them!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Evansville, WI

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
