"We used Kegonsa Remodeling for a major kitchen renovation in a nearly 100-year-old house. Before the remodel everything in the kitchen looked cheap and worn down (think 1970s brown, everywhere!), and the overall arrangement of the space was really inefficient. They came in and proposed a design that was the best balance of affordability and ideal features out of half a dozen contractors we interviewed. Once we began working with them, they provided consistent updates and met with us on a regular basis, enough so that even with unavoidable pandemic slowdowns, it still felt like the project was always moving forward. With screens all around we can let the air move through when we want. The design process was a good experience, but we were not warned that our decisions in dimensions would result in difficulties with regulations and the electrical work. The lack of communication between sub-contractors during the process resulted in several delays. There were times when we were told there would be hand-off and it didn't happen until we prodded them. We kicked it off in the early spring and it didn't complete until August. Early on, the delays were unavoidable due to weather and ground conditions but after the foundation was in it took to long to complete the structure. The problem is not specifically the total time to complete but being left with very little time to replace the yard and driveway before winter."
