"Jeff made everything super easy! He was very responsive, got us a quote quickly and was punctual. He patched 20 square feet of carpet and I can’t even tell that the difference between the existing carpet and the patched area. He was courteous and professional. Highly recommend!"

"We recently had wood floors installed & needed repairs done to the carpet where it meets the wood. We also had an area that was bulging & needed to be restretched. I called Nip & Tuck after reading reviews & they were able to come out the next day. Jerry, owner, was very nice, thorough & did a great job. Our carpet looks great! The price was also very reasonable. We are very happy with the results."

"Shelley came out to our house and listened to what we wanted to use our space for and then walked through the basement with us. She explained the different types of pad and carpet that she thought would work best to meet our needs and then brought in several different samples for us to look at and feel. There were several price points to choose from and we chose a carpet that was very comparable (looked and felt the same to me!) to one that we had found at one of the big box stores. We had done some and quot;homeworkand quot;, at Shelley's suggestion, and had a price quote from two different big box stores so that we could compare apples to apples. The Carpet Connection price was almost $2000.00 LESS than the other quotes we had received! We selected our installation date and let Shelley handle the rest. It was so stress free and we are thrilled with the results! The installers were very nice and did a great job. We had a lot of carpet installed (1000+ sq. ft.) and they were here the majority of the day. They cleaned up everything and vacuumed the carpet before they left. We have had the carpet for one week and love it! We would recommend Carpet Connection to anyone and we plan to use them again when we need to replace our bedroom carpet."

"Two guys arrived nice and early and were able to finish up before 1 PM. The quality of the work was very good: I was completely unable to locate any of the seams in the carpet and they vacuumed all the little bits up and made sure we were happy with everything before they left.  <br /> They did take away all of the rubbish carpet from the stairs and all of the extra bits that they made when they did their work. I had to put absolutely nothing in the trash myself. I did almost have to chase them down to give them the cheque though; evidently you can pay them over the phone too. <br />"

"Chris was very prompt in responding to our request for bid, and then in completing the work. He and his staff are professional, gracious, and thorough. We did what we could to move small things off the floors and he moved all the big stuff to clean under it all. The carpets look like new! A great investment in our carpets instead of replacing them due to wear and tear from imbedded dirt. We're very happy and highly recommend Impressions Carpet."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Evergreen, CO

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
