"My wife and I wanted new hard woods in our house but had very specific requirements that we could not typically find locally.  My wife wanted a dark floor while I wanted extreme durability in a natural hard wood.  We did our homework and decided that Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) most closely matched what we wanted.  <br /> After looking locally for something that fit the bill, the flooring we found was either over $12 sq/ft (too expensive) or not dark enough.  I started searching on-line and ran across Brazilian Direct.  Their prices seemed reasonable (a bit over $6 sq/ft for what we wanted) and they even had a tinted (dark) version of the floor we liked. <br /> After several weeks of questions and further research, we decided to place an order.  We we worked with a representative named Sannon who helped us every step of the way.  She sent us samples, instructions, guides - everything to make us more comfortable about our eventual order.  Our order came right on schedule and the wood was really beautiful.  After several weeks of the required acclimation we had a local installer put the floor down.  They did an excellent job and we really love our floor.  There was very little waste and in fact we had at least 3 boxes left over. <br /> I highly recommend Brazilian Direct.  We are considering using them again for a deck project we'd like to do in the future. <br />"

From the beginning we could not get a straight-up quote from them.  After multiple iterations, their quotes were illogical and I could not trust what was included.  They would not even provide us with a quote for the laminate both installed and uninstalled.</li> <li>2. They came out to take all the measurements themselves.  When we decided to install the laminate ourselves, based on their measurements, we had 7+ boxes left over (they admitted they typically account for having 2 boxes left over) yet they would not let us return them.</li> <li>3. Duraceramic tile was laid down in an obvious "pattern" with all the dark sides of the tiles lining up.  I've never seen tile pieces lined up so all one color is on the same side.</li> <li>5. "I have used several Granite Gold products and like their effectiveness because they do what they are supposed to do. No strong fumes or irritating skin problems. The granite counter top daily cleaner and polish are so easy to use (spay it on and wipe with a paper towel) to keep all your stone products clean and shiny. I was surprised to see how effective the grout cleaner is. I sprayed it on some dirty tire floors in the bathroom and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then I went over it with the scrub brush they provide. It looked clean then, but when it dried, it was much brighter. This is a 40 Year old bathroom tile floor pictured. "It was a critical undertaking, and several persons had declined. Nick Greenwood examined the situation, and worked out a procedure which he explained in detail. He was very responsive to the particulars we required, including installing a water line. He came on the scheduled day, had two assistants which I noted he related to in a very considerate and professional manner. He completed the entire project in one day, except for two brief returns to complete surface finishing. He has a wide range of skills which were involved in the project. As an aside, I had a fairly large pile of firewood in yard which needed splitting, I casually asked him if he knew of anyone who might do it, and he arranged for one of his assistants to come the next day and do the job for a very reasonable price, including stacking and hauling."

"He was very friendly and knowledgeable.  We even went to Lowes to discuss further bathroom options for the remodel for my client.  We were supposed to receive an email after Thanksgiving with an estimate for the remodel.  I didn't get an estimate so I texted and asked when we should expect it.  No response.  I texted again a few days later saying we needed the estimate by Monday as we were going to gather other estimates as well.  Again, no response.  Not even a text saying he was too busy to take on the job or anything.  I really liked Ken but the lack of response was really troubling to my client and myself as well.  I'm sure he does great work if you can get a hold of him. <br />"
