"I hired Advanced Roof Tech LLC CCC1329219 â  Oleymis Sacoâ  to replace my nine-year-old roof at my residence due to hurricane damage. I worked with Kenneth Russell during the sale of the project. I explained in detail what I was looking for and what type of roof was currently on the residence. I showed Mr. Russell pictures of a buildup I wanted added to the roof using a YouTube video and pictures. I explained in detail both verbally and through email, text and phone conversations the requirements of the project and the material and products I required. I fully disclosed that the current pitch roof had Ice and Water shield and that the flat roof areas had insulation build-up to add pitch. Additionally, I allowed Mr. Russell to read the previous roofing contract. Mr. Russell agreed verbally to complete the job and we completed a contract February 24, 2023. When the roofing supplies arrived to my residence, the wrong sheathing material arrived. The sheathing requirements of the job were pointed out to Mr. Russell during the contract process. Mr. Russell was agitated that I would not allow him to use OSB rather than the required plywood. Mr. Russell aggressively debated the use of plywood stating that plywood was more expensive. The OSB was then replaced with plywood on the jobsite. In the contract, Mr. Russell was employed to add a modified buildup to the existing flat roof. The modified pitch that was agreed to was explained in detail to Mr. Russell using YouTube video and pictures. As the job progressed Mr. Russell texted me and called me continually stating that they kept finding bad wood and other issues that would add cost to the roof. I went to my residence and walked the job with Mr. Russellâ  s onsite supervisor, Dennis. I asked Dennis to show me the areas of bad wood on the roof. I explained that Mr. Russell called me stating that there was a large quantity of bad wood. Dennis looked at me confused and showed me one small area of bad wood. Dennis even pointed out the existing deck was in great shape. The day the job was completed there was a leak above our kitchen soaking the stove, walls and floor. The water was created by â  dewâ  . Mr. Russell was contacted and someone arrived to the residence to correct the problem. A few weeks later it rained. The roof leaked a second time above our kitchen soaking the stove, walls and floor. Mr. Russell again sent someone to correct the problem. At this time, the roof is still leaking above our kitchen soaking the stove, walls and floor. Additionally, the job was not completed as agreed. On the pitched roof, the surface was never cleared to the deck. The barrier on the pitched roof was not covered with the product stated on the permit or the contract. The modified pitch was not completed as agreed . When the job was completed, Mr. Russell presented an invoice for additional work. Mr. Russell was charging extra stating that there was a second roof on the structure. There was one roof on the structure that was previously installed on or around 5/23/2014. I protested the additional charges and Mr. Russell agreed to waive the charges. On June 16, 2023, I was provided a â  paid in fullâ  document signed by the owner and Kenneth Russell. At this time, the roof is leaking above our kitchen soaking the stove, walls and floor. I reached out to Mr. Russell to send someone to the residence to correct the problem. Mr. Russell stated that we did not pay for the waived additional charges and therefore there was no warrantee."

" I contacted Blue Creek Construction LLC thru Angi to repair an area of my roof that was damaged during the recent windstorm. Jazmin contacted me early the same day and within a few hours Jazmin, Pedro and crew were out to look at my roof. They were prompt (early actually), friendly, easy to speak with, knowledgeable, and professional. They offered to fix my roof on the same day at a reasonable cost but we rescheduled for 9 am the following day so they could pick up a needed part. I walked outside my home at 9 am and they were already in place ready to start the job! In about one hour they had finished all the work high-quality cleaned up and everything looked great! Blue Creek Construction did an awesome job and I would definitely recommend them and hire them again for future projects."

FAQs for metal roofing repair projects in Fairview, NC

Maintaining your soffit is essential. You must inspect it twice yearly to catch any clear signs of deterioration. Look for cracks, mold, rotted wood, sagging sections, chipped paint, or missing boards. If these issues are detected, contact a professional immediately to repair or replace the damaged soffit and protect your home’s structural integrity.

To maintain your fascia boards and soffits, inspect them regularly to protect your roof and home's structure. Clean your gutters to remove debris and prevent moisture buildup. Repaint any damaged sections to keep moisture at bay. Upgrading drip edges and vents improves airflow and dispels moisture efficiently, helping you avoid severe damage and costly repairs.

While installing a new soffit over an existing soffit isn't common, it may be necessary in some older homes. If removing the original soffit could damage delicate structures, a professional might recommend installing the new soffit without complete removal. Always consult a qualified professional to assess the condition and ensure this method is safe and effective.

When hiring someone for soffit and fascia repair, choose a specialist with proven roofing and gutter systems expertise. A knowledgeable contractor will thoroughly inspect your home and provide a straightforward repair or replacement plan. Check online reviews and ask for references to ensure you receive high-quality service that delivers lasting results and strong protection for your home.
