"Mark was easy to work with and professional. Scheduling meetings was easy and he was willing to meet outside of normal work hours, always returned calls immediately, etc. The initial bid was submitted quickly and final job cost was right on per bid. There were some scheduling issues (equipment problems and a change in the style of paver mid way through the project since the original style choosen was not available) that slowed completion of the project down a little, but he did a really good job of letting me know up front about any schedule slides or changes."

These folks are terrific!  They get more done in the time spent here than we could ever do in the same amount of time or more.  They are constantly moving when they are here.  They know plants; they know weeds; they know how to prune so you don't just get a ball shape as you see in so many yards.  They will use power or hand tools for pruning, depending on what you want the shrub to look like.  While the crew has not been the same over the past three weeks (we just started this service), each one knew what the preceding one had done and where to start the next area of cleaning. And the quality of work has been consistent no matter who comes.   The company is willing to work with you for what you need; they do not insist on a cookie cutter service.  Thus, since we already had a good yard man to mow and edge every week, Aaron did not insist in including that service as part of Cloudy Sky's work (although that is normally part of what they offer, as I understand it).  The price I listed is for four weeks of work and includes the dump fee, etc.  The quality and quantity of work the crews get done each week makes the money extremely well spent.  If you have a large yard that's hard to keep up with or if you're aging (like we are) and don't want to do it all anymore, or if you'd rather spend your time doing something other than the ordinary upkeep of lawn and yard, give these guys a call.  You'll be glad you did.

"The people we dealt with at NW Patio Design were Steven Higa, the designer and estimator, Ray Lopez the GM, and Fernando and Juan, who lead the install crew. Steven is really good at integrating a lot of ideas and he came up with a nice design that reflected our vision. He also stayed in contact with us and the crew throughout the installation process, even coming by the site several times, which we really appreciated since he was the one who we talked to the most about what we wanted beforehand. Ray is the GM and he is extremely responsive. Did the project go without a hitch? No. But what large project does? Any time we had any concerns about anything or if it looked like a small detail might fall through the cracks, I called Ray and he dealt with it immediately. He also came out to our site a few times as the job progressed and for a final walk-through to be sure every detail was taken care of. Fernando and Juan lead an extremely hard-working crew who were very gracious about me bothering them all the time to ensure everything was getting done as we hoped. The final result is a jaw-dropping patio that just looks great. It could be on the cover of a magazine it looks so gorgeous. It was a lot of money but I do feel we got more than our money's worth and we will be enjoying that patio for a good long time. We will be calling NW Patio to come back next year to give the same professional treatment to the walkways leading up to our house as well. They are top notch."

"Initial scheduling went fine when we agreed on a date. It fell apart when I asked for morning or afternoon and did not receive a response to email or phone calls. (Note to self, be sure to get this commitment before signing agreement). This was important because I had to schedule my time off in advance. Without knowing when they would be here I chose not to guess and went to work.
The work was carefully described.
We do not have a lawn in the front yard, but lots of gravel, boulders, pavers and a rain garden.
We needed to have the borders edged and weeds pulled. The ground was soft from frequent rains but that day was clear.
I received a call mid afternoon from a dispatcher asking where to put the yard waste if they were not to haul it away. 
They did not finish the work in the 8 hours I contracted for - I believe had I been available they would have accomplished much more.  I do not question their professionalism. Perhaps I needed a gardener and not a landscaper.
I struggled with my assessment because what they did accomplish looked great.
I may hire them again but will also consider renting an edger to do it myself.
