"We had an excellent experience from the first meeting to discuss options, to the decision to purchase, to the build. The shed build was easily scheduled and completed within one day. The value for the cost is better than we could have hoped. Highly recommend them for shed building."

"Adam Contracting did a wonderful job in a short period of time. This was a small job that took some experience to not crack the Corian. The workers were friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend them."

"Manny was great! Hanged, taped, mudded, and sanded roughly 8.5' X 8' wall that I framed... had 'my studs' not been slightly twisted, bowed and warped the wall would be 100% perfect. Manny's work was excellent and the wall is smooth no divots or gaps. I provided the drywall and corner bead. Will definitely hire Manny again!"

"We just completed a full master bathroom renovation with Century Bathrooms and Kitchens and are thrilled with the outcome, and love our new bath. Working with Daniel and Erika really set Century apart from other contractors, and in meeting and discussing our project with them it was that sense of trust that helped us select them over other proposals. They communicated with us before the project began and throughout, until it was completed. There was no detail too small or request that they did not work to meet. Not having completed a large project like this before, we relied heavily on their design guidance and experience to arrive at the final specifications, and we’re glad we did. The crew was also outstanding. From protecting our home with floor and furniture coverings, and barriers around the outside of the bathroom, to cleaning up after each day, it made the whole project easy to deal with. Much like Daniel and Erika, you could tell from their workmanship and attention to detail that they cared about the work they were doing and wanted the best outcome possible. As far as the budget and final billing for the project, there were no surprises. The cost proposal we were presented at the start of the project was precisely the same cost at final payment. I would highly recommend Century Bathrooms and Kitchens (and Daniel and Erika) without reservations and would definitely work with them again."

"Terrific job.  We love our shed.  We priced multiple services and had two at-home estimates and town and country had the best quality for the price.  They will custom build whatever size shed you want, unlike the big box stores, and were competitively priced with the big box stores.  They were very professional - prompt, responsive and easy to work with.  The crew showed up on time and finished the work in one day and the shed looks fantastic.  We've now had it for a year and it is wonderful - it still looks brand new and is very functional.  We are moving and are sad to leave our shed, but we plan to use town and country again to build a new shed and the next house."

"My garage door?s cable/spring broke. I called ABC garage door and they arranged for a technician, Danny Sligo, to make an assessment and have it fixed. He did an outstanding work, quickly and clean. He explained what he was going to do and completed the work in 30 minutes. Highly recommended."

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse building service projects in Falls Church, VA

Most sheds larger than six feet by eight feet require a foundation to remain level and dry. A compact tool shed might get by without one, but anything heavier should sit on at least a 4-inch-thick stone-and-gravel pad that extends two feet past the walls. The gravel protects wood skids and promotes drainage. If you want maximum stability—and your budget allows—a poured concrete slab is the strongest option.

Your ideal shed size hinges on purpose. A common 10-by-12-foot kit gives you 120 square feet—plenty for lawn tools and bikes. Need just a spot for a mower and a few rakes? A compact 4-by-7-foot model should work. If you’re envisioning a workshop or hobby room, look at 12-by-16 feet or larger.

A good rule is to raise the shed floor four to six inches above the surrounding soil. That clearance encourages water to drain away instead of pooling beneath the structure. The simple step is especially important for wood floors and skids, helping deter rot, mold, and insect damage while extending the life of your new outbuilding.

Choose the route that fits your goals. Prefab sheds arrive in standard layouts and go up fast—perfect for basic storage on a tight timeline. Custom builds cost more and take longer, but let you add windows, wiring, plumbing, and unique finishes. Balance budget, features, and timeframe before deciding which type of shed is best for your needs.
