"I spoke with Tim who gave an estimate and scheduled work. He not only did not show up, he did not return my call or text. I called to speak to his supervisor the following day Mark apologized and arranged for service the next day. The electrician came on time and replaced a bathroom fan and installed duct work. A ceing fan in our kitchen was falling down so he repaired that. I only gave B ratings on some of the factors because of Tim. Mark and the electrician were great."

"Max was excellent and his employees extremely polite and professional. They wired a whole house for us and he came quickly when we needed him. We would hire him again if we needed any electrical work. A real pleasure of a transaction. Thanks Max!!"

"I could not be happier with the final product! The first pic is the old bathroom from the 60s when the house was built. The rest are the final rebuild and it looks great. I would highly recommend VMK Remodeling for any project that you might have. I am also going to get a bid on redoing the deck on the back of the house as Vince's company does decks as well! Thanks to his great crew as well, great people to work with."

"Could not have asked for better service for the price ($400). Both Dale and Zack performed an outstanding awesome job. Job required access to attic to complete. Was no problem for the team. Definitely an A+ company. I'll certainly be calling them out for additional electrical work."

"Kenneth did a great job. The project was somewhat complicated due to the fact that our house is older and has had a couple of additions over time. That makes running speaker wires more complicated. Kenneth came up with good ideas as the project went along, and I think we ended up with a superior product in the end. Kenneth worked around our schedules, and was just great to work with. Highly recommended."

"He came to my house, but never actually delivered the design. He asked for 2-3 wks. I gave him about 4 wks. I tried to contact him to follow up, but I did not hear from him. I have received a refund from Angie's List. He told me they were doing (maybe paving?) when we first met, and he's trying to do landscape design? It was only $39. When I first contacted the rating was A, and it was B when I last looked. Maybe it's a case of trying to do too much, or needing to narrow the scope of work. You can know/do a little about everything, or something about a little....not both."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Farmington, MO

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
