We entered into a contract with Chesterfield Fence and Deck (CF&D) in 2018 to remove and replace 38 decks and to update two others. "Josh and his men did a great job installing 5 new doors and all the baseboard trim on my basement project.  They installed some vinyl flooring in the bathroom as well.  They removed and replaced the failed builder's door on the basement walkout with a new steel door and did the trim around the door inside and out to ensure it is weather-tight and looks very neat and presentable.  They also installed custom trim around two windows in the basement.  All in all they did an excellent job and I would hire them again in an instant.  Thanks Josh!

"I pay a monthly fee to CHW for insurance against equipment failure. Over a month ago CHW sent a repair technician to fix both of my garage doors, the technician made an adjustment on one door and chanced the opener on the other. A week or so ago the second door failed to open. Yes, my door opener is old, but the Warrantee says, if it can’t be fixed it will be replaced. CHW paid the tech $100 and said the rest $200 is on me. Please tell me why I should stay with CHW if I have to pay 2/3rds of the cost to replace the door opener? On a separate issue: Granted I accepted CHW’s offer of a Lowe’s card to replace my dishwasher, because I was unaware of how much dishwashers sell for, it cost me an additional 300. Again, please give me a reason for staying with CHW"

"They came removed the old mold treated the floor joists with mold killer removed all the old plastic and replaced with new plastic keep house clean and cleaned up before they left .Very polite . I will definitely hire them again and will recommend that for anyone needing their services ."

"This is our maiden experience with Angie's List and first time home owner or a 116 year old home, located along a quiet pedestrian causeway.  The brick pathway leading from the back door to the parking area in the alley serves as the primary access to the property.  It was old, heavily worn, and unsafe.  
Although Green Thumb first offered me the less expensive option of merely repairing the crumbling walkway.  Ultimately we opted to rip out the eyesore and start anew.
Within a week of making a deposit, installation was complete.
The installation looks marvelous!
We especially appreciate the care taken to ensure our wobbly gate opens and closes properly.  They plumbed the opposing post and secured it in place with concrete.  Now the gate is stable and operates with ease.  Allowing us to stratch that project off our list of future home improvements.  Damage to the existing landscaping was minimal.  Otherwise the work site was spotless.
