"Being a disabled veteran it gets hard finding a good company. Yet, this company went way above and beyond for me. I had a minor leak coming from my roof that made its way into a basement room. Victor, my amazing repair person, found a small hole the previous builder hid at initial construction at the corner of second floor slash roof. The flashing wasnt done right and the hole allowed the water to work its way down. After 20yrs of this minor leaking it destroyed my wall, damaged the rock, and even worked its way to the beginning of the flooring above the basement room. The pictures show what 20yrs of a tiny leak can do. What a simple minor leak looked like, was actually a monster that damaged alot. They fixed everything to perfection, even found a second minor issue after fixing the flashing. The rain was also working its way behind gutter and because he was working in the rain he fixed that too. Yes he was working in rain. I couldn't ask for a better job done. Google has more detail"

In addition to that they left a huge oil stain on my driveway that I had to argue with the foreman about until it got cleaned up. The first day on the job and the foreman said I had a nice house and asked what my husband does for work. I said I don't have a husband, and he asked if my parents helped me purchase my home. I let him know that I purchased the house on my own. 2 months after the roof was completed I still had not received my warranty. It took me about 6 phone calls, and an email to the owner before I got the warranty sent to me. After I emailed the owner the foreman sent a snarky text saying I should have contacted him instead of the company. All in all it might be worth the competitive price if you're willing to put up with misogyny and to stay on top of things."

"I had some broken, cracking stucco that I needed checked for underlying damage and patched in a relatively short period of time pursuant to refinancing my home.  I had contacted two other stucco contractors off of Angie's list to get bids and neither one was very responsive.  Ted Cowan from ACES/GSS was very responsive.  He came out the day we got a hold of him and gave me a bid on the spot.  He also walked me carefully through what potential issues there might be and how he would go about fixing them so there would be no further damage.  

He said he could be back within three to four days but came back the very next day to test for underlying problems, of which there weren't any, and to take out the broken stucco and put on the cement layer.  He came back a week later and finished the job.  It looks perfect. The color matches exactly.  I finally did get a bid from one of the other contractors and Ted's bid was half the cost.  I watched the repair and Ted's men did a great job.  The went to extra lengths to make sure that the patch carefully overlapped with the existing water barrier so I wouldn't have to repair this again any time soon.

I am so pleased that I am asking Ted for a bid to do stucco when I have most of the windows in my house replaced.  Based on my experience so far I'd recommend him to anyone."

"I recently began renting my home through a management company. When the AC stopped working I had my management company contact an AC company, and they chose Expert. Expert quoted $4000 to replace the AC. I then found another AC company myself (Humphrey) for a second opinion. Humphrey was able to fix the AC simply by changing the capacitor and fuse. Expert either 1) didn't bother to even look at it because the work order was coming from a management company and figured they paid whatever, or 2) did a really poor job diagnosing the problem. Either way, neither is favorable. My lesson learned as a new landlord--always find a repair company yourself."
