"This review is long overdue. The house we purchased is 20-something years old and had old 12x12 tile on top of an extra layer of plywood on the first floor as well the original carpet throughout. Cawood was recommended to me by my uncle, and I had called or visited several other vendors as well. I chose Cawood because of the quality of their product, personalized service from Mr. Cawood and their reasonable price. Their crew arrived on time and worked hard to remove the nailed down subfloor under the tile. After this was done, the crew discovered that our floors were not level enough to install the hardwood we'd chosen. They could have done a few things to even out the original sub floors and just installed the new hardwoods...I would not have known the difference. But Mr. Cawood visited the site and explained how our new floors would buckle or crack if we didn't work on the subfloors first. Even though he had to rearrange his crew's schedule and other jobs, he made sure our job was done right. He called a few contractors he knew and gave us names of those who could do what we needed and fit us in. We chose one of them, the work was completed, and Mr. Cawood came out to inspect the subfloors before the new hardwood and carpets were installed. Once he gave the ok, his crew installed our hardwood and carpet quickly throughout both floors of our home. Today, a few years later, both carpet and hardwoods still look brand new. The hardwoods are durable, don't scratch easily and the color is beautiful. Our carpeting is soft, extremely stain resistant, and still plush. I appreciate the value and service we received from Cawood floors and will call them when we decide to redo our basement.

"Dennis, the owner, is very nice & very friendly, when he gives the estimate. Be careful, because everything is a la carte. We didn't realize that the baseboard was not included in our price, even though we were having our ceilings, doors & molding painted. You would have thought that was obvious. Their prices are very good. However, we have had our interior painted before and the quality here is not up to snuff. We noticed quite a few problems. When we called them to fix it, they were very defensive about it, but corrected everything we pointed out. Since they've left, we've noticed alot of blobs of paint on the wall, paint on the counters, paint splatters on the furniture, paint drips on the carpet, cigarette butts in our planters outside that the painters left etc. It's up to you to decide if it's worth it for the price and the speed."

"It went very smoothly.  I picked out all the product, finishes,  tile. Matt ordered it all, picked it up and installed it.  They completed the demo when we were on vacation and did an excellent job cleaning up, so much so that when we came home we weren't sure they had even been there until we walked up into the gutted bathroom.  Matt was always there when he said he would be and was very responsive to my questions and concerns.  The bathroom is awesome and Matt and his guys did an excellent job.I would hire Matt again."

Also helped to move furniture and load/unload flooring from the store as it needed to be exchanged due to poor quality for the first batch we got.
