We felt so comfortable with Ben, and rather than try to upsell us as others did, he helped us figure out ways we could get the job done within our budget. The quote offered several options which was quite helpful in our choices. During our decision period, we had several questions and he responded immediately every time. When it came time for the work, the crew was always on time and professional. They cleaned up and you could barely tell they were even here at the end of the day. We were glad to see that the crew was able to take several water breaks (in nearly 100-degree heat) and time off for lunch and they still finished the job ahead of schedule. The price and warranty were the best of the four quotes I received. The whole process was very smooth and I haven't had any problems with the system.  I'm very glad I chose them. <br /> They have a project status page that provided clear information at every stage.  When I emailed or called, they responded within 24 hours.  I contacted them based on customer reviews and their warranty policy.  The salesman was low key and honest.  He made it clear that there was a waiting list for installation so I knew it would take a few months.  In the end, it was faster than I expected.  They provided clear written plans and handled the city inspection completely.  The connection to PG&E quickly followed. <br /> I highly recommend them.  I have two important notes: <br /> - Be sure to get a clear picture of the schedule.  It's complicated and they may have a waiting list. <br /> - The initial quote on the phone was for a much bigger system than they were able to install.  They can only tell so much from a satellite image of the roof.  Their on-site inspection showed that my roof was more complicated and not ideal for solar.  The quote was adjusted down for a smaller system.  I understood that they were oversizing the system, so I wan't surprised.  Your roof may be simpler, but beware that this can happen. <br />"

"The process went very smoothly, and once the old roofing material was removed, some dry rot was discovered.  Pictures were taken so that I could see the damage, and the original estimate increased about $1,000 because of the necessary repairs, but I felt that the company was very honest in its dealings with me. Also, I noticed after the project was completed that there was some minor damage to the frame around my skylight (visible from inside the house).  I contacted Conrad Roofing and they came out and looked at it, took responsibility, fixed it, and then had a painter come out and repaint the ceiling around the skylight.  Fantastic service and I have recommended them to others and will continue to do so! <br />"

"Last winter during one of our few rain storms we developed a leak due to rusted out flashing around one of our chimneys. The leak started as a trickle on a Saturday morning and by Monday had spread to several leaks throughout our kitchen and family room. Stars and Stripe's pricing was fair and slightly lower after receiving numerous quotes to do the job. Once we made the decision to use Stars and Stripes, we were swiftly placed on a schedule to perform the repairs. A crew of four men worked on our home for a full three days to complete the roofing job. Then, a separate crew of two men followed up to install about 25 feet of new gutters and downspouts around a Portico at the entrance of our home. All work was done on time and looks beautiful. The quality of the work appears top notch. The jobsite was left clean and orderly during the procedure as well as once complete. I am looking forward to a wet winter to make sure that the leaks will be gone for good."
