"We hired Bill at HPC to install a radon remediation system required for the sale of our house. From the first time I called him, he was very responsive and returned all of my calls quickly. I told him that we needed this done quickly so we could move ahead with the closing; he came out a day after I called him for an on-site evaluation, got me a proposal a day later, and had the system installed within a week. His final cost was exactly what he quoted, even though he had to do extensive sealing of cracks in the basement slab. After he installed the system, the radon levels came back almost undetectable! He was also very attentive and responsive to my e-mails and calls when we were struggling with the township to get the permits in a timely manner, and his work passed inspection with no problem. "I was referred to John from Hometech NJ  by the first home inspector I called, who was going to be out of town on vacation the date we needed the inspection.  I figured if a competitor was willing to recommend John, he must be great.  He did not disappoint. <br /> John clearly loves his work and is happy to explain anything about the house you are purchasing in as much detail as you want.  As first-time home buyers, my husband and I know next to nothing about home construction.  His was extremely thorough, spending almost 5 hours inspecting our 2500 square foot house.   <br /> John was also happy to point us towards qualified specialists where he thought we might want to get additional information about the condition of our home (ex: plumbing, chimney).  He was very patient in walking us through the report (40+ pages with photos) and made excellent suggestions as to which items should be high priority for repair (very helpful in negotiating with the seller).  Overall an excellent experience."

"I cannot say enough about John Martino! I have had mixed experiences with home inspectors, to say the least, and John just redeemed the profession in my eyes. He called within 20 minutes of my original call (later on a weeknight - I left a message, not expecting a response), and set up the inspection within days. He sent sample reports, and told me to set aside 4 HOURS for the inspection! He was on time, took off his shoes in the house, walked us through every aspect of the home, answered questions, and showed us how things worked. If he had any doubts about anything, he did additional tests, because he did not want us to be left to handle a potentially dangerous (or expensive) issue. He sent out a sample of a substance in the attic which may contain asbestos for testing to determine whether or not it was hazardous. He had limitless patience, sent us a 90 PAGE report with photos and arrows, etc, within 24 hours! Who does that? He's been responsive to us since the inspection as well as we've encountered questions. I will happily recommend him to anyone I know! Our cost included home inspection including wood-destroying insects and radon."
