An appointment for a thorough inspection of the exterior and interior of the chimney was arranged shortly after our first call. The compromised part of the chimney was protected with a tarpaulin which was attached so securely that it remained in place during this winter's high winds. Mr. Atchley met with us to discuss the problems. He presented options, listened to our preferences, and made additional recommendations. We received a detailed estimate shortly afterwards. The work was started on schedule and the work crew arrived on time each day, so we never had to wait for their arrival. The crew cleaned up each day, respecting our home and property through the removal of our old chimney and fireplace and installation of the new materials. We were kept informed during the process so we were always aware of the progress of the work and what would be done the next day. Our rebuilt chimney is of superior craftsmanship to the original. The new gas fireplace and tile surround looks amazing and is the focal point of our living room. Our house is warmer and quieter as a result of this project. Chimney place in Holly wanted $329 for 1st fireplace and $299 for 2nd fireplace to come out. That price included a mandatory cleaning. Crazy!! Sanford was reasonable, efficient, and friendly.
