"I called Penniston Fence to get 1 of 3 bids & Tim came out that week. He was very helpful on where to place this strip of fencing so I could block as much of their house as possible. He recommenced a tan vinyl fence to match my siding. He explained vinyl was much less maintenance since I live alone. His bid was very competitive so I went with him. Tim was very low sales pressure.The other 2 companies wanted me to sign "right now"! Within a few weeks my vinyl fence was ordered and installed. He arrived in the am and it was completed by mid afternoon. He cleaned up very nicely & did not disturb my other plantings in the area. Working with Penniston Fence was just a pleasure. "Chris was one of 4 companies that provided estimates. Although his bid wasn't the lowest, we liked his attitude and professionalism. He was completely upfront about what he could do and what to expect.
Although our deck is only 4 years old, we power-washed it ourselves last year and created a mess with splinters. One of the things we needed done was splinter-reduction. Chris advised us that all wood decks have splinters but that he would do what he could to reduce them. We are satisfied with what was done.
We first got our bid on May 1, 2014. Due to the crazy weather we had in the spring and early summer of 2014, the job was delayed until July 6, 2014. This was not an issue and we completely understood that the work couldn't be done unless there was a no-rain window.
The only issue we had with the job was that the stuff under our deck (we have an under-deck roof) wasn't covered and the muck from the power washing coated everything. I would've preferred to have been warned of this so I could've covered everything. Chris covered everything for the staining portion of the work, so that wasn't an issue.

"This company is rumored to provide poor service. Our experience backs that up: Asked for estimate of both ongoing work and cleanup jobs. A representative came in a day or so--friendly, helpful, indicating they could start quickly and that the work was up their alley. Costs sounded reasonable. Said estimate would be sent in couple days. 5 days later, still no estimate. Inquired about it and we were told they don't do kind of work that we need, which makes no sense. Referred us to an entirely different company that specializes in hardscaping, walls, etc--which we don't need. Difficult to understand all this. Disappointing."
