"Great all around. If you use this company ask that Jesus Munoz be assigned to manage the job. He handled a large and complicated roofing project with complete competence and professionalism. He regularly consulted with us on an ongoing basis and we appreciated his suggestions and advice on troubling issues like being sure our skylights were properly installed. The company sent a crew that made it possible to finish the job in only two days and leave our property cleaner than it was when they arrived."

"The personnel were friendly. However, they left a mess in my driveway, on all 4 of my vehicles, 2 of them were REALLY bad and on my green overhangs, they are now white. Called the office and was told they would come down nd wash my vehicles, but not dry them. Who dries their cars...this is Oregon? Well, some people are VERY picky about their vehicles and two of mine are not driven when it rains. Think long and hard if you have anything worth value that can get covered with this stuff."

"DO NOT go with this company if you don?t want to be SCAMMED! We unfortunately made the mistake of hiring Alamo Roofing for a small job. We had issue after issue that never stopped and was never resolved. It started with a lack of communication. After the quote and deposit was issued to Alamo, the sales rep reached out advising the workers would be out ?tomorrow? to fix the roof because of the weather. About 2 hours later, the techs showed up at our house to fix the roof during a blizzard. We suggested they come back the next day for their safety and the quality of the job. The tech said he ?had 26 years of experience, don?t worry!? Instead of waiting to ensure the job could be completed appropriately due to the weather, the tech proceeded to ?fix? the roof. This was done by drilling the piece of metal flashing ON TOP of the roof shingles instead of where it belonged, between the shingles and the roof. creating new penetration points on the roof. Do NOT go with Alamo."

"Roofcraft is the absolute last company I would ever recommend for anything related to roof repair or remediation. They charged us $800 for a tarp job that was done so poorly it still leaked, leading to secondary water damage that could have been completely avoided. Their incompetence cost us far more than just money—it caused unnecessary stress and additional repairs. Their project manager, Jason, is dismissive and talks over you anytime you try to address concerns, refusing to take ownership of their mistakes. Even after openly admitting fault, he continued to deflect responsibility. As for the owner, Brandon, he completely disengaged from the situation rather than standing behind his company’s work—showing a complete lack of ethics, accountability, and professionalism. If you need roofing services, do yourself a favor and look ANYWHERE else. Roofcraft is not a company that values integrity or quality, and they will leave you dealing with the consequences of their failures."

We value your home as if was ours. The term "you can't see it from my house" is not allowed at Reign On Roofing. Hopefully this will be the last time a homeowner will have to make a decision on what type of roof they want. We know the importance of this decision and don't take it lightly. We want to sell you something you won't regret as soon as it is installed. \nWe expect the same from our installers. I will be on the job daily ensuring installation and cleanliness is followed. Profanity is something completely prohibited on my jobs. You can expect nothing less than the same courteous crew from the beginning to the end of your job.

"Ernie Haas provided a very thorough examination of our roof which enabled us (after much back and forth with our roofer (DCF Contracting)) to ensure that all necessary and required repairs were made to our roof. Mr. Haas stayed in contact with us for more than a month to ensure that any questions or issues we had were addressed."

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Florence, OR

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
