"This job was completed efficiently and professionally. A design specialist came to test and measure every detail for the project. The crew arrived with everything needed for the job. They worked very hard to install Waterguard in the concrete floors inside around the foundation to the sump pump basket. They also installed Geo-lock anchors to support a block wall that was bowed. This company has 36 years in business and provides excellent results and professional customer relations. Call Amer. Wtrwrks for a free estimate. You will not be disappointed. A wise investment of $11,270."

Customers say: Quick response

"They were absolutely EXCELLENT to work with! Their communication was professional and timely, they made sure we were happy with the patio layout before work began, they were clear and concise on pricing, and they got the work done exactly when they said they would. During the week they performed work, it was very rainy and the ground was extremely soft, which left a lot of tire tracks in our yard, They came back and releveled it all once the ground dried out. We most certainly will be using them in the future. The BEST company we’ve worked with since our home build. Thank you guys!"

"Cement Raising mud jacked the driveway apron and front sidewalk and caulked the joints. When they were done, the concrete was restored to the proper level in both places. The caulking job was adequate, but not any better than what I could have done myself. Unfortunately the repairs to the front sidewalk are quite visible (lots of drill holes in a small space), so I'm not sure that mud jacking was an appropriate solution. They were pretty messy. They dislodged the sump pump pipe and got white goop on the grass, the shrubs, the decorative rocks, the street, the entire length of the hose they borrowed, and a bare patch of soil in the neighbors yard. <br />"

"The process went quickly with detail showed in every step of the process. We asked and hoped that the raising would not cause the opposite end of the sidewalk to be raised above the point where it meets the driveway. There was no guarantee it would be that way, but they worked hard to make it level and safe.  For the sidewalk to be raised 2", we didn't want a stumble step to be created and be 2" above the driveway. They were able to raise it and leave a pitch so the water would drain properly and both ends of the sidewalk were right on. <br /> This process creates an huge mess. They cleaned everything and even filled the part of the garden next to the sidewalk with some black dirt. They were prepared to handle everything and make it right. <br />"

"The new driveway looks great - neighbors have complimented us on its appearance. We did have an issue with our coated concrete floor getting scratched where the driveway meets the coated floor. The floor will be repaired by the original coating crew and Richfield Blacktop and Concrete has been WONDERFUL to work with resolving this issue."

"We had Craftsmen put up gutters on our house and they look great. There were a couple of hitches - the original drawing specified 5' of downspout away from the house, but the driveway is right next to the house which put it halfway across the driveway. They worked with us, putting a hinge on the downspout so that we can raise and lower them as needed. The person putting up the gutters (Tony) made sure to ask questions, e.g. whether it was OK to route some of it a different way than the drawing, and listened to the answer. He was calm, respectful, and patient with my cantankerous neighbor who was upset that the gutters were going near the property line (there is not much room on either side of my house) and helped us come to an arrangement that worked for everyone. Being a general contractor, he also took the time to look at some other items on my house and gave me his professional opinion. In addition to the gutters, we also had Craftsmen put on a new roof and siding, and overall they've been a wonderful company to work with."

"Drew was great. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. After our first appointment, he gave me a very detailed, itemized estimate of the work he recommended to fully waterproof my basement (sidewalk and french drain on one side, regrading the other). In total it was more than I wanted to spend right now, so I opted for just the sidewalk. He was able to schedule the work fairly quickly. His crew was prompt, professional, and fast. They did the demo and had the framing up in less than a full day, and poured the concrete the following morning and were done by lunch. It looks fantastic and is keeping that side of my basement dry. I'm very happy with the results and highly recommend this company. <br />"

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Forest Lake, MN

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
