"I am a perfectionist and have always done all my own painting, home renovations/upgrades/maintenance/repair, gardening, landscaping and plumbing, and electrical (to code with permits). I built the 230' of the fencing around our property and built two pergolas. I'm 77 years old and I decided to hire a contractor to repaint our 7 pieces of of cast aluminum patio furniture and the 230' of (6'/8') fencing and the two pergolas. I hired Rumen Roman Painting for this work and was and still am amazed and at the quality and detail of his work. He did this better than I would have and that is saying a lot! His attention to detail, craftsmanship and his work ethic are commendable. We will be hiring a painting contractor in the future and will definetely be contracting Ruben for that work. "

"John and his team was very easy to work with. They were kind, respectful and cleaned up each day as they went. The bid was fair as was the pricing for changes I made. I’d easily recommend."

"I truly got lucky with DV pro painting. I can't say enough about them and what a pleasant experience I had with them. What they did was a perfect job. I have never seen other painters prepare for the job like they did. They took such pride. Oscar is a perfectionist and it shows. Dan is such a great guy and a joy to work with. You can tell that he has been in the business a long time, because he knows what he is talking about and does not forget what you tell him. They were so quiet I didn't even realize they were here. Dan and his team was the best thing that happened to me in the past year!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Forestville, CA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
