"In the main bathroom the on and off valve was stuck. You could only turn it on about 10 percent. I called a couple of places he was the only one that called back.He came out, the job only took about 10 minutes to do. He just had to pull off the knob, there was a piece back there that came off, a little plastic piece, when it came off it got lodged and you could't turn the water on. He just removed that, it was that necessary to have. It was very simple, I also had him take a look at my garbage disposal. He charged for an hour. I think he worked on the disposal a little longer than he needed to, but i think he wanted to fill that whole hour up so i would get charged for a full hour. It was $100 bucks an hour. I was ok with that. I wasn't too up set or anything. I told my wife what to do, I don't think she listened correctly. she went underneath and you can take a little wrench and and loosen it up but there is also that reset button. I don't think she remember to hit the reset button. I think if she would have done that it would have kicked back on. He said some of the teeth inside were kind of sticking. He said he was working on that, trying to free up some of the teeth to help grind some of the food down the drain. Im sure in the next couple of years ill need to replace. For price i don't know, I don't know the difference. I would say an A. I haven't had a plumber out in a long, long, long time. For quality I would grade him an A. He didn't have to make a mess or anything. It was pretty simple and straight forward. For responsiveness i would say A. I called one day and he called back the next Like i said i called about 3 or 4 people. He was the only one that called me back. When i first talked to him he said he will be out in the next day or two .He said it would be somewhere when i got 20 min or half hour between jobs I will come out and do it, but he did call before he came out. That was fine, there was no set time of a set day."

"The person performing the service had to make several trips because one of the "new" parts turned out to be faulty. I found both Complete Protection and their local repair contractor to be both very responsive and totally professional at every stage of the repair process."

"I am SO HAPPY with my experience ...from start to finish! Can you hear the angels singing? <br /> I joined Angie's List out of frustration in not being able to find a GOOD and AFFORDABLE Plumbing service. <br /> The reviews are spot on!! <br /> A real live person answered the phone!! I know..right?! <br /> I was given a time slot the SAME day! <br /> When asked if there was a coupon or a special ...couldn't be quicker with a reply : Back of phone book or online at their website! <br /> Rich was our plumber...exceptional. <br /> He knew what he was doing ...put on his booties..went straight to work..showed me all the tree roots...CLEANED UP.. spotless. <br /> The job cost me exactly  99.00 - 15.00 (coupon) plus tax 5.88 = $89.88 <br /> They also  do not charge a service fee or a diagnostic fee. <br /> They also charge the same price on weekends.....night....holidays...SAY WHAT?!>  I know right?! <br /> I have told all my friends about 2 Men and a Snake and will be calling them for all my future plumbing needs. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"The basement drain started backing up so gave these guys a call since I've used them in the past (see previous post).  They were out that day -- very responsive.  On the first trip, they were unable to find the main line clean-out so they went through a toilet (after removing it) and snaked the main sewer drain.  I have two trees in the front yard and the roots from one or both found the jackpot in the main sewer line.  They found the clog, but the snake got snagged and they were unable to retrieve it in a timely fashion.  They finally got it out and decided to go in with the camera.  However, they were unable to get it past the first trap and finally had to give up.  The main drain was flowing fine so they called it a day.  They had run out of some type of adapter to reinstall the toiled so one of the guys took off to find one.  Took about 45 minutes.  When he got back, they discovered they didn't have a masonry bit to install the adapter.  Guy went back out for another 30 mins.  Got back, reattached the toilet.  $451. <br /> Two weeks later the drain backed up again.  I called that night and they were back out the next morning.  Again, very responsive.  By this time I had found the main clean-out, but it was behind the furnace and the clean-out faced the furnace so no real room to work.  Went in again through the toilet and water started flowing fine.  They found A fem hygiene product and A baby wipe (my daughter and grandson are staying with me, so.... yea). <br /> I had them feed the camera through the clean-out this time (tight, but it worked fine) and the pipe looked good; a few roots still noticeable, so not sure how ONE fem hygiene product and ONE baby wipe could have caused a clog in a 4" pipe.  Water flowed fine and continues to do so two months later.  $200 for second visit. <br /> NOTES: <br /> 1.  I started using copper sulfate (Zep - get at big box store - thanks YouTube) to kill those roots.  $13 a pop, a few times a year vs. $650. <br /> 2.  Not happy it took two trips or that they didn't have all the parts, so it wasted my time. <br /> 3.  If it does happen again, I feel I'd use a national chain simply because they've probably done 1000's of these and it may cost less. <br /> 4.  They don't give you a receipt on the visit (two carbon sheet manual system) so they'll e-mail you a copy in a week or so.  Hence, "B" for Professionalism. <br /> 5.  If they go through a toilet, they can't use the 4" cutter (for the 4" main).  Not sure why they didn't push the snake to the main clean-out then swap the cutters.  They suggested a new clean-out outside. <br />"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Fort Calhoun, NE

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
