"Everything went as expected. From the professionalism the quality, and even to the politeness of the employees including the installers, Carlos and his help were first class. We couldn’t be happier"

"Wow, I don't even know where to begin with this absolutely amazing company, and experience. Chuck, Delsie, Les, Tony, Jalen and the entire crew were incredible. Talonda, Macy and myself just can't thank you guys enough. We will be screaming your praises all through the Cooper Farms Neighborhood. Thanks for suggesting the black windows and new gutters. You guys are truly a blessing. Rob Mac"

"David and Paul cleaned up as they worked and asked me for feedback every step of the way. They even went back out for brackets despite not having much time to spare, which I can’t thank them enough for doing."

"I would never recommend Yates Electric to my worst enemy! The quote I received was $2000 less than the final bill. There was a change made to the original order but no change in cost was ever discussed. When I asked the owner why the over 34% increase wasn’t discussed he said he told my husband, which he didn’t. Then proceeded to gaslight me by saying that he has been in business for 30 years and I changes to bills are to be expected. I told him I’d be happy to pay the original quote but not the charges that were never approved. He then sent me his lawyers contact info. If he had told me about the $2000 increase I would have told him we didn’t need his services. Mark Yates continually bad mouthed other contractors we were working for and was extremely unprofessional. Working with Yates Electric was a headache from getting a quote to the final payment."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Fort Knox, KY

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
